Destiny 2 will ease the grind and fix these bugs

Next week Bungie wants to release an update for Destiny 2 that aims to address numerous bugs and known issues in the game. Additionally, the grind to Power Level 600 will become easier. Veteran rewards are also coming.

The last few weeks have been a bit rocky for Destiny 2. Moreover, some annoying bugs have further dampened players’ spirits.

In the latest “This Week at Bungie” blog, the studio has now explained what they are currently working on and which issues are to be resolved in the near future.

Here’s how the last few weeks went in Destiny 2: After the start of Season 5, there was initially a transition week leading up to the launch of the Black Armory, which was accompanied by several issues.

The Black Armory itself also faced some issues.

These were the issues of the last few weeks:

Many players were unable to engage with the new content from the start, as some are still not far enough with their Power Level. Bungie consequently lowered the Power Level requirements two days after the launch.
Then a bug that caused certain weapon forms from the forges to disappear led to additional frustration among the Guardians.
And the start of the winter event “The Dawning” was accompanied by server issues and several bugs. Under certain circumstances, some Triumphs from the event or cosmetics from Eververse could not be unlocked.

But now Bungie has promised solutions – for some issues already next week, for others in the foreseeable future.

These problems Bungie aims to fix next week: Many of these issues are to be addressed in the upcoming update 2.1.3 on Tuesday, December 18. This update will not only tackle acute problems but also some annoying bugs that have been bothering the Guardians for a long time.

Among other things, the update will include the following:

The exotic Sparrow “Echoes of the Heralds” can finally be obtained if you have destroyed all eggs, but with different characters.
Players joining ongoing forge activities should now also receive loot.
Weapon forms will no longer disappear when completing a different forge.
The damage output of the exotic fusion rifle Thousand Voices from the Forsaken raid will be adjusted on PC and will no longer change with the frame rate.
Shaders from Season 5 can now be dismantled as quickly as all others.
In certain circumstances, players were unable to receive Clan XP rewards from Hawthorne. This will now be fixed.
Without the Crucible Festivity Shader, players could sometimes no longer unlock Crucible packages. This bug will now be addressed.

These problems will be fixed soon: Additionally, there are more issues that are high on Bungie’s priority list and will be resolved in the near future. Work is currently ongoing:

Issues with the 24-hour completion of the new raid are to be resolved. Some players who mastered the Scourge of the Past during this time frame are still missing corresponding Triumphs and badges.
Due to a bug, it can currently happen that players have too many revive tokens or that these are not correctly removed after usage in the raid. This is set to be fixed soon.
Several other issues with the weapon forge will be resolved. Valuable objectives for weapon forms will soon count for all team members. New materials from the forge are also intended to go correctly to the post office and not disappear.
The Triumph “Avid Collector” sometimes could not be unlocked even if all prerequisites were met. This is expected to change soon.

Here’s how the grind to Power Level 600 is made easier: With the update 2.1.2, Bungie has already increased the drop rate of Prime Engrams for all players below Power Level 600. Furthermore, these engrams have since granted greater Power Level progress.

With the update 2.1.3 on Tuesday, Bungie will make the grind to 600 even easier with another change. This way, players will also receive more powerful rewards when they complete challenges in the Director menu.

This is intended to help players catch up faster to the new content of the Black Armory.

When will the veteran rewards arrive? Everyone eagerly awaiting their veteran package can look forward to it. It will apparently arrive in the game with update 2.1.3 on December 18 and will be available on the same day.

These rewards will be given to all players who played Forsaken before October 16, 2018.
