Activision talks about the post-launch content of the upcoming MMO shooter Destiny 2 and features for the PC version.

Just a few hours ago, Activision’s conference call for the first quarter of 2017 took place. During this investor conference, CEO Eric Hirshberg shared interesting information about Destiny 2 – particularly regarding the PC version.

According to him, Destiny 2 will have “meaningful features” specifically for PC. Features tailored for the PC community. What exactly these features are remains unknown. Hirshberg points to the gameplay premiere on May 18, where details about this and other exciting announcements regarding Destiny 2 will be revealed.

Destiny 2 brings a steady stream of content

A statement that Activision made months ago has now been reiterated. Destiny 2 is supposed to have a steady stream of new content. Content droughts like in Destiny 1, where players waited months for new content, are said to be a thing of the past.

According to Hirshberg, there is great confidence that they can meet the high demand for post-launch content with Destiny 2. He emphasizes that besides Bungie, other AAA studios are working on fresh content. This is to ensure great content delivered at short intervals to keep the community engaged. In addition to Bungie, the Activision studios Highmoon Studios and Vicarious Visions are working on the sequel.

According to the contents of the expansion pass, after the launch of Destiny 2 two expansions are planned. These two DLCs are likely not to be the only content deliveries in the first year of Destiny 2. Activision spoke of a “constant calendar full of events following the expansion pass.” The first expansion is expected to come in winter and the second in spring 2018.
