Attention: In this article, we discuss the statements of a leaker. While he does not reveal any details about the story or the mechanics of the raid, he still provides an assessment of the overall experience. If you want to avoid spoilers, it’s best not to read further.
Raids are always an important topic in Destiny 2. They are complicated, require teamwork and communication, and narratively conclude a new DLC. With “The Final Shape,” another raid is being released, but every Guardian should have completed it at least once.
What is officially known about the new raid? The new raid in Destiny 2: The Final Shape is called “Edge of Redemption.” It is scheduled to start on Friday, June 7. Officially, nothing is known about this raid, neither bosses, armor, nor the raid emblem.
However, we have looked into many leaks and seen what Guardians might expect in the upcoming raid. Bungie itself wants its Guardians to have completed the new campaign as well as the Exo mission “Wild Card” before starting the raid. The reason for this lies in the narrative: Guardians are supposed to better understand the story.
The new raid is said to be an important part of the narrative, as it supposedly completes the saga of Light and Darkness. The problem, however, is that many Guardians hate raids. According to the leaks, Bungie is aware of this, which is why the raid is supposed to differ from other raids – if the leaks are to be believed.
Since leaks are unconfirmed, unofficial information that does not come from Bungie, there is no guarantee that they are accurate. Always view leaks with a degree of skepticism – even if they seem realistic.
Raid is supposed to differ from other raids
What is different about this raid? We infiltrated the Discord channel “BungieLeaks” to see what the data from the latest update says about the raid. It was possible to catch glimpses of the bosses, new armors, weapons, the raid Exo, and the emblem.
However, the most interesting fact was what one of the leakers had to say about the entire raid. According to fortnitelover448, the raid differs drastically from the other known raids:
This raid feels completely different from the previous ones and is much more narrative-focused than in the past. Expect it to be somewhat easier since it is an important part of the overall story, and they (Bungie) want new players to be able to finish it.

The leaker’s statement is not entirely far-fetched. Bungie knows through its internal data that only a small part of the player base participates in raids. So it would also be in the developers’ interest to create a raid that players who have little or no experience with raids can finish.
This way, these types of players also have the chance to experience the narrative conclusion of Destiny 2 regarding the saga of Light and Darkness without having to resort to videos from content creators. The story has been ongoing for over 10 years; closing such a narrative conclusion in an extremely difficult raid would not please many Guardians.
So if you want to experience the actual ending of Destiny 2, you must muster the courage to tackle the raid. Only then can you close the chapter on Destiny and its saga after 10 years. Finding a strike team is now easier than ever before.
With the new strike team finder, you can quickly find many competent players who want to experience the end with you. Many German-speaking Guardians can also be found there. If Bungie has indeed made the raid intentionally easier, you should definitely check it out.
