A legendary weapon is currently exciting in Destiny 2 – What sets it apart from the competition and why will it be so powerful in future seasons?
This weapon is about: This is all about the Seventh Seraph Saw, a legendary machine gun. The MG with the cool optics belongs to the rare aggressive archetype and fires slightly slower, but hits really hard.
The power weapon was introduced to Destiny 2 with Season 10 and pushes the competition to the bench with its unique perks and that certain (explosive) something.
What makes the Saw so strong? Many of the new weapons currently miss strong perk combinations, but the Seraph MG is not one of them. You can fully rely on your preference for magazine and barrel and either enhance stability, recoil, or range. The magic happens in the two perk slots:
- Perk Slot 1: Clown Cartridge
- Perk Slot 2: Line of Fire (for team players) or Vorpal Weapon (for solo players)
You can overload your power weapon and significantly increase the magazine size, allowing you to deal increased damage for longer without annoying reload pauses.
If you have 2 teammates around, you receive 20% extra damage for critical hits nearby. If you’re playing as a lone wolf, you are well advised with Vorpal Weapon, as you will automatically deal extra damage to bosses (15%) and supers (50%).
Even if you don’t get a God roll, the other options are almost all useful and look quite good.
That’s why the Saw is better than all other MGs: Thanks to its unique perks, the Seventh Seraph Saw leaves all other legendary machine guns behind. Even popular representatives like:
cannot keep up with the damage output currently. Another important factor that makes the MG so powerful is in its name.
The Saw is associated with the Seventh Seraph weapons and therefore benefits greatly from the Warmind cells – which means for you: lots of massive explosions. You dismantle enemies so quickly that you always have one cell available.

Here’s how to get the MG: To get your hands on the Seventh Seraph Saw, you must complete Rasputin’s weapon bounties. These cost you some Glimmer and encrypted Warmind bits (seasonal currency) and are offered by the Warmind in the 3 bunkers in the EDZ, on the Moon, and IO.
To receive bounties for the coveted MG, a requirement must be met: All bunkers must have reached at least Level 3. This has only been possible since April 7th, as the final bunker went live since then.

That’s why you should get the weapon now: The Seventh Seraph weapons belong to the seasonal content that will disappear from Destiny 2 with the start of Season 11 (June 2020). However, mods and weapons that you have unlocked from Rasputin will remain with you.
This is important because many of the artifact mods will no longer be in the game, but the Seraph weapons still have the option to create Warmind cells. This way, you can use the powerful Warmind builds even in future content and really make an impression.
The Seventh Seraph Saw gives you a very powerful legendary option for the power slot and creates space for many unique exotics. However, those who want to carry an exotic machine gun in the power slot should consider an earlier underdog in Season 10. Because experts in Destiny 2 say: The formerly weakest exotic is now a powerful boss killer.
