As some fans have now discovered, there is a perk for the Void Warlock in Destiny 2 that is apparently bugged and currently has no utility.
What happened? Following the recent bad news about the nerf of the Nova Warp, Void Warlocks are faced with yet another unfortunate report. The perk “Bloom” from the Chaos affinity is currently not doing what it should and offers no advantages in the game.

What is the problem? The perk “Bloom” is supposed to cause your enemies to explode from kills with Void abilities – for example, from a melee attack. These explosions are supposed to damage nearby enemies and ideally eliminate them. However, as some fans have recently discovered, this is not the case.
A foe eliminated by a Void ability does explode, but the explosion does not cause any damage to adjacent enemies. Currently, the perk offers nothing more than just a pretty visual animation.
How did fans become aware of the problem? The issue was uncovered after the last major Update 2.1.4 heavily nerfed the Nova Warp. Since then, players have started experimenting again with the two other affinities (Sub-Focus) of the Warlock.
Before the update, the perk “Bloom” reportedly still worked according to a few users of this affinity. The bug has apparently crept into the game due to the massive sandbox changes.
What do the developers say? Nothing at all. Bungie has been repeatedly alerted to this bug on Reddit, but there has been no response from the developers so far. It is currently uncertain when to expect a fix.
Are you now also increasingly using the other Void affinities after the nerf of the Nova Warp? Have you also noticed the problem?
