With the weekly reset on June 11, there were issues with the new rewards of Season 7 in Destiny 2 . Bungie responded quickly and has resolved the issues. Werner 99-40 should be worthwhile again.
What are the new rewards all about? With the Season 7, additional Powerful Rewards have been introduced that can be earned as part of the weekly routine.
Five of them can be obtained through the NPC Werner 99-40 (or also Benedict 99-40). He assigns 4 Bounties, all of which are supposed to yield a Powerful Reward. A fifth reward is given once all four of his Bounties have been mastered.
That was the problem: The Bounties are supposed to reset with the weekly reset , so that they can be earned again in a fresh Destiny week.
However, that apparently was not the case yesterday. Players were not rewarded with Powerful loot. There were also fewer Emperor’s Coins than intended – much to the dismay of numerous fans. The coins for upgrading the chalice are highly sought after.

What does Bungie say? After reports from Guardians about missing rewards increased, the studio quickly spoke up and stated that it was a bug.
This is how the reward bug has now been fixed: Bungie reacted quickly to this error and deployed a server-side fix.
Now the Bounties should once again grant Powerful rewards. However, if you have already completed the bounties and opened the four chests, it seems unfortunately you come up empty-handed.
Were you also affected by this bug? Did you receive the rewards afterwards or did you come up empty-handed? Let us know in the comments.
