Recently, the hunt for the sniper rifle “Whisper of the Worm” is causing action and excitement within the community of Destiny 2. Why? You can check it out here in the video.
Whisper of the Worm causes a stir: The recently discovered descendant of the iconic Black Spindle from Destiny 1, the exotic sniper rifle Whisper of the Worm, is currently exciting large parts of the Guardian community.
It is one of the most exciting, if not the most exciting event since the launch of Destiny 2 and has brought large parts of the community back to their screens.
This is what Destiny 2 has been missing so far: Not only the discovery and the hunt for the Whisper of the Worm have awakened nostalgia among many Destiny veterans and an unprecedented sense of adventure among newcomers – but the weapon itself brings back long-forgotten or never felt joy for many.

Because all the effort seems to finally pay off. This new exotic sniper is currently the strongest weapon in Destiny 2.
Whisper of the Worm makes short work of Calus
New super weapon: The Redeem clan has impressively demonstrated this against the Leviathan raid boss Calus. With six Whisper of the Worm, the team astonishingly took down the Cabal Emperor in just a few seconds – and mind you without the masterwork catalyst!
Whisper of the Worm gets even better: The catalyst grants the spindle successor the perk Breath Control. If you aim with the weapon for a while without firing, it grants bonus range and precision damage for a moment while staying zoomed in. This gives the weapon an additional 72.5% damage buff.
What do you think of the Whisper of the Worm? Have you had your own experiences with the new sniper yet? Or are you still on the hunt?
