Destiny 2 brings many new Exotics – weapons and armor pieces – with the autumn expansion Beyond Light. 10 fresh Exotics are already known. But which one is your favorite so far?
What do the new Exotics entail? In Destiny 2, the new major autumn expansion Beyond Light launches on November 10. This brings among other things
- the Ice Moon Europa – a new location
- new content around Europa and the Darkness – including a new story and a new raid in the Deep Stone Crypt
- Stasis – a new element for all 3 Guardian classes with new abilities and Supers
Also new Exotics – weapons and armor pieces – are traditionally on board. And recently it has been revealed which ones.
10 new Exotics from Beyond Light are known so far
This is what we know so far: In a new trailer for Beyond Light, Bungie has now introduced 10 new Exotics that will enrich the Guardians’ arsenal with Beyond Light. This includes 4 exotic weapons and 6 armor Exotics.
Keep in mind: Bungie has only introduced these 10 new Exotics for Beyond Light so far. However, it is conceivable and quite likely that more Exotics will be added starting November 10 – possibly as yet secret raid rewards or through the Season Pass.
This includes the iconic weapon Exotic Hawkmoon. The return of this Hand Cannon from Destiny 1 has already been officially confirmed by Bungie for Beyond Light. However, the Hawkmoon does not appear in the latest trailer. Therefore, it is assumed that it will not be part of the Beyond Light expansion but will come through the Season Pass for Season 12.

The 4 new weapons:
- Griff der Erlösung – Grenade Launcher: Fires projectiles that create Stasis Crystals and freeze nearby enemies. Charging the weapon increases the number of crystals created and the freeze radius.
- Keine Zeit für Erklärungen – Pulse Rifle: Precision hits and hits on enemies under Stasis influence return to the magazine. Stack this effect to summon a portal from which the weapon shoots from another timeline.
- Wolkenschlag – Sniper: Precision death blows create lightning at the position of the hit target. Quick precision hits even generate a whole storm at the strike point.
- Die Klage – Sword: Offers a deadly blade and a sturdy shield. Blocking with it intensifies the blade and allows you to cut through shielded enemies. At maximum values, the wielder is healed when dealing damage to enemies.
The 6 new armor pieces: Each Guardian class receives 2 exotic armor pieces with the new expansion:
- Icelands Overcoat – Titan Gauntlets: The Titan Barricade is replaced by an Overshield and absorbs incoming damage.
- Precious Scars – Titan Helm: Upon resurrecting, the wearer receives an Overshield Aura that protects them and nearby allies.
- Mask of Bakris – Hunter Helm: Replaces the Hunter’s dodge role with a longer lunge that cloaks the wearer for a short time. Essentially almost like Blink from Destiny 1.
- Athrys’ Embrace – Hunter Gauntlets: The balanced knife bounces off a second time. Additionally, quick precision hits grant bonus damage and can stagger enemies for a short time.
- Dusk Concert – Warlock Helm: The Dawn projectiles deal additional damage and cause enemies to burn upon contact. When a target takes damage from burning, the wearer receives melee energy each time.
- Necrotic Grip – Warlock Gauntlets: The wearer’s melee attacks corrupt enemies with increasing damage over time. When a corrupted enemy is defeated, the corruption spreads to nearby targets and restores melee energy to the wearer.
