In Destiny 2 mods are important and assist you in battle with helpful bonuses. But where do you get mods and why are they so important? You will find out here at MeinMMO.
Where do I get mods? In Destiny 2 there are two reliable places where you can get mods. These are located in the player HUB “Tower” and can be accessed by any Guardian regardless of level.
- Banshee-44, the weapons master of the Guardians
- Ada-1, the keeper of the Black Armory
We will embed an image for you and mark them on the Tower map so you know where to find them.
These vendors sell new mods daily for 10,000 Glimmer. Note that Banshee-44 only sells weapon mods and Ada-1 only sells armor mods. So if you haven’t acquired all the modifications for your armors and weapons, you should check in with them daily.
However, there are also mods that can be earned seasonally through the strategy table in the H.E.L.M., such as the elemental well mods in Season 13.
If you missed a season, don’t worry, because these modifications will eventually appear in Ada-1’s inventory.

Why are mods important? Mods are especially important to give you a more relaxed life as a Guardian. You receive bonuses when you build your setup with the right mods. This creates a synergy that benefits you in battle.
Especially in the endgame, mods are a must as they can either keep you alive longer or even stop annoying champions. So if you want to dive into the endgame, a daily visit to the mod vendors in Destiny 2 is a must.
