In Destiny 2 hints have emerged regarding the release dates of the two expansions. When can we expect the releases?
There is a new leak about Destiny 2. This time it is a letter to GameStop that has been made public. It provides the responsible parties with an overview of what they need to know about Destiny 2:
It concerns the release date of Destiny 2 (September 8, 2017), the supported platforms (PS4, Xbox One, and PC), pre-order bonuses, and whether one needs Destiny 1 to play Destiny 2 (Answer: No). It also explains that only the appearance will be transferred. At the end, there is information about the expansion pass.
Destiny 2 – DLC Release Date – Expansion I in Winter 2017, Expansion II in Spring 2018
The expansion pass includes both expansions I and II and costs around 30 Euros.
According to the leak, DLC I is set to release in Winter 2017 and DLC II will be released in Spring 2018. However, specific dates are still missing.
The plans for Destiny 2 align with the schedule for Year 1 of Destiny 1. In 2014, Destiny was released in September, on December 9, “The Darkness Awaits” was delivered, and on May 19, “House of Wolves” was delivered.
This is unusual, as Destiny had stated in 2015 that it would move away from these plans and switch to “events.” This had led to a content drought. Apparently, there will indeed be DLCs again with Destiny 2.
What do we know about the two expansions?
These expansions will introduce new story missions, cooperative activities, a competitive multiplayer mode, and tons of new weapons, armor pieces, and other items. Additionally, a look at the graphic for the season pass suggests that the DLCs are related to Osiris and Rasputin. The two symbols indicate this.
