In Destiny 2, the release dates for the raid and the trials are known. Here are all the important dates.
Bungie released this week’s “This Week at Bungie”. This is the last letter to the community before the console release of Destiny 2 on September 6.
After thanking all PC beta testers, community manager Cozmo stated that they learned a lot and will continue to fine-tune things, naming the important dates that Guardians should mark in their calendars.
Start and Time – Raid Launch, Trials Launch of Destiny 2
Many of you will want to be there right at the launch of the raid and the trials. Bungie knows this, which is why they are already announcing the exact dates for when these endgame activities will start:
- The Raid: September 13 at 7 PM (Wednesday)
- The Trials: September 15 at 7 PM (Friday)
You have about a week to play through the story missions and prepare for the raid and the trials if you want to be there at launch. Other endgame activities, such as the nightfall strike, will be immediately available. These do not have their own start date.
Regarding the raid, Bungie emphasizes: They will only tell you the “when” – the who, what, where, and how you will have to find out for yourself. Some info about the raid has already come to light in recent days, which you can read in the link.
When does Destiny 2 start? When can I start?
Bungie has now definitively and officially confirmed that there will be a rolling midnight launch for Destiny 2. This means that when it is midnight for us, you can start:
- Start Time Destiny 2: September 6 at 12:01 AM – From then on, you can play Destiny 2.
With the specific start time for Destiny 2, we have already dealt with this here.
Guided Games are slowly starting
A new feature of Destiny 2 is the Guided Games. This allows solo players to connect with clans to tackle endgame activities together.
However, Bungie expects that there will be too many solo players and too few guide clans at launch. Therefore, these Guided Games will start slowly.
- Shortly after the first weekly reset on September 12 at 7 PM** there will be a “beta phase” for Guided Games (for the nightfall strike). About 30%-50% of all players will have access to the search, depending on how large the clan participation is.
- Starting September 26 at 7 PM, there should be 100% access to the search for the raid and the nightfall strike.
During the “Guided Games Beta,” all clans can lead solo players as soon as they have mastered the nightfall strike once.
