In Destiny 2 today, on June 18th, is Weekly Reset. The June Iron Banner has started. Additionally, there is a new boss in the Menagerie this week. Weekly activities and challenges such as Nightfall Strikes or Flashpoint are rotating. What’s new to do?
This week, the Iron Lord Saladin is gracing us with a visit in the Tower – for the first time in the Season of Opulence. For one week, Guardians can now compete against each other under his watchful eyes in the Iron Banner, a one-week PvP event.
During this time, they can not only grab additional Powerful rewards, but also earn themed weapons and armor. You can find out more here: What changes with the Iron Banner in Season 7
Additionally, the Menagerie, the new 6-man activity from Season 7, gets another fresh boss. This boss must be sent to the virtual afterlife if you want to earn loot with the Chalice of Opulence: These weapons and armor can be farmed specifically with the Chalice
Nightfall Strikes from June 18th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
These are the current Nightfall Strikes:
- Guardians of Nothing
- Tree of Probabilities
- Exodus Crash

For Powerful rewards:
- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Successfully complete a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
The following modifiers can be found in the Vanguard Strikes and heroic Story Missions:
- Solar Singe
- Grounded: Damage taken while in the air is significantly increased
- Brawler: Melee abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster
Note that the modifiers rotate daily, while the elemental burn remains unchanged until the next reset.
For Powerful rewards:
- Complete 3 heroic Story Missions
- Complete 3 heroic Strikes with the elemental focus corresponding to the active burn element
Crucible, Gambit, Reckoning
This is what PvP has to offer this week:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Iron Banner
- Rumble
- Private Match
Be aware that the 7 Iron Banner bounties still provide Powerful rewards, but no longer unlock gear for direct purchase from Lord Saladin. This is now done through a quest you receive from the Iron Lord.
The following modifiers are active in Reckoning:
- Void Singe
- Prism
- Brawler
For Powerful rewards:
- Complete 5 Crucible matches
- Complete 3 Gambit matches
- Complete 4 Gambit Prime matches
- Complete Reckoning runs successfully (up to 100%)
- Play Iron Banner matches and complete the 7 Iron Banner bounties
Additionally, you can complete the bounty “The Traveler’s Might” from the Wanderer for more Powerful loot.
Escalation Protocol
In the Escalation Protocol on Mars, you can earn the following weapons this week with a bit of luck:
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary Shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary Submachine Gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Werner/Benedict 99-40, Ada-1, Petra, Spider
Through the Flashpoint on Mars and the accompanying heroic adventure, you can secure a total of 2 Powerful rewards.
Werner/Benedict 99-40 offers 4 weekly bounties for you. Each of these 4 bounties yields a Powerful reward. If you master all four tasks, there is an additional Powerful item. Additionally, you can earn up to 3 more Powerful rewards in the Menagerie, provided you have made appropriate upgrades to your Chalice of Opulence.
The assortment from Ada-1 includes all 7 Powerful weapon forms.
For completing 20 any bounties, Ikora Rey will reward you with a Powerful reward.
Earn 5,000 Clan XP and you will receive a Powerful reward from Hawthorne. With her bounties “A Distressing Affair,” “With Both Hands,” “To Each Their Own,” and “Summoning Ritual,” you can earn further Powerful gear.
Petra Venj is currently located (2nd Curse Week) in the spawn area of the Dreaming City. Complete her mission, her 8 daily bounties, and the currently active 6th Ascendant Challenge, and for each of these tasks, you will receive Powerful loot.
A Powerful reward from the Fallen trader Spider can be obtained by completing his weekly bounty “Grave Tide Summoner.”
These are the glamour highlights of the Eververse:

- the chest piece from the new Eververse set
- an armor ornament for the Hunter gloves Galanor’s Fragments
