The action MMO Destiny 2 starts a new week on June 15. A new visit to the raid “Glass Chamber” is worth it, as the challenge mode goes live today and offers additional loot. What other reasons does the reset offer for Guardians to log in?
What’s happening in Destiny 2? Currently, everyone is in E3 fever, while Bungie continues quietly through Season 14 in Destiny 2. Fortunately, the new reset won’t be as quiet:
- Destiny 2 makes a visit to the Glass Chamber more exciting: Starting today, you can try your hand at challenges.
- It all begins on June 16 in the Conflux phase. During the challenge “Wait for it…” you may only kill Wyverns during the encounter when they begin to sacrifice themselves at the Conflux. Tricky, as if the sacrifice succeeds, you’ll need to wipe.
- Every following week, a special challenge is active in a different encounter. These are the same challenges that the best Guardians had to struggle with during the first 24 hours after the raid opened.
- If you’d rather hack than raid, you can look forward to a new Purge mission in the Vex network.
- Additionally, the surprisingly good story of the Season of the Splicer continues. Will the civil war finally break out, or will intrigues continue to be spun? So visit the Splicer Servitor and complete its tasks to stay updated.
What are raid challenges? Those who already know the raids in Destiny by heart can try their hand at raid challenges. Depending on the raid, these challenges look different but always require an additional condition that complicates the fight.
What’s the point? For loot and recognition: If you fight through the extra-hard encounter, you’ll receive an additional chest with raid loot. Another chance, then, to obtain the iconic weapons like Fatebringer. On top of that, each challenge is associated with a triumph – these triumphs are also needed to carry the prestigious title “Fatebreaker” from the Glass Chamber next to your name.

This is the new max level: In the Season of the Splicer, the maximum power level of your gear rises to 1,320. This is a fairly small jump of just +10 (from the previous Season 13).
