In Destiny 2, on July 17th, it is Weekly Reset again. The Faction Rally is live! The Prestige Raid Courses are starting. Additionally, new activities can now be tackled with the weekly reset. The weekly Crucible playlist is rotating again.
A new week dawns in the Destiny universe. And it brings a lot with it.
The update 1.2.3 is now live. All information about the new features and bug fixes of the July update can be found here: Destiny 2: The July update 1.2.3 is here – Patch Notes and everything you need to know

Group battles have started: The third and final Faction Rally of Season 3 has begun. For one week, Guardians have time to help their faction win while continuing the hunt for faction-specific ornaments, masterwork catalysts, and other rewards.
All who have already reached rank 50 with their chosen faction and snagged the best loot can now pledge allegiance to another faction if desired. Also, those who are dissatisfied with their previous choice can now try their luck with another group.
By the way: If you did not earn all faction-specific masterwork catalysts by the end of the last Season 3 Rally, don’t worry. These three exotic catalysts will also be available beyond Season 3.

The World-First race for the Prestige Raid courses begins: With Update 1.2.3, the Prestige versions of the two Leviathan raid courses “World Eater” and “Star Breach” have finally been introduced into the game today. To allow all Guardians an optimal race for the world’s first completion of a Prestige Raid course, the two Prestige passages start at different times:
- World Eater Prestige mode starts on July 17, 2018 at 20:00
- Star Breach Prestige mode follows on July 18, 2018 at 19:00
Also interesting: Your path to the new max power level 400 starts in the Prestige Raid courses
But let’s see what else this current week has to offer.

Nightfall starting July 17 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
This week is the Nightfall “The Twisted Pillar”.
Until the next reset on July 24, you have the chance at the following exclusive Nightfall reward: the exotic ghost shell Trichromatica

In the normal Nightfall, no modifiers are active!
In the Prestige mode, you must activate the modifiers through challenge cards. These cards drop for DLC owners in both the normal and Prestige mode of the Nightfall. Don’t forget that you can upgrade your challenge cards again with Xur starting Friday.
The following challenges need to be mastered:
- Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths.
- The Floor is Lava: Ensure your fireteam is not struck by Protheon’s fiery ground attack before defeating him.
Heroic Strike Modifiers
The respective Scorch modifier remains active until the next reset. The two other modifiers change daily. Currently, the following modifiers are active in the heroic strike playlist:
- Void Scorch: Void damage from all sources is slightly increased
- Grounded: Damage taken while in the air is significantly increased
- Heavyweight: Power weapons deal more damage and more ammunition is available
By the way: With update 1.2.3, Destiny 2 revised its 3 toughest modifiers following fan complaints

Flashpoint, Raid-Challenge, Treasure Maps, Meditations
The Flashpoint this week is on IO. There, you need to master public events.
Cayde-6 has IO treasure maps ready for you.
Ikora Rey offers meditations for the missions “Burning”, “Chosen”, “Captured”, and “Ice and Shadow”.
The raid challenge takes place this time in the Last Gardens.
Crucible
The weekly Crucible playlist features Supremacy this week.
