This is how powerful loot is divided in Destiny 2: Powerful loot comes in several tiers, granting you various power boosts. Consequently, higher tiers grant higher power boosts.
- Tier 1 (up to +3 above the current power level)
- Tier 2 (up to +4 above the current power level)
- Tier 3 (up to +5 above the current power level)
- pinnacle gear (+5 or more above the power level. The only gear that goes over 1250 and up to a maximum of 1260)
