In Destiny 2, today, August 21st, is Weekly Reset again. With the weekly reset, new activities such as the Nightfall strike or the Flashpoint can now be tackled. The weekly Crucible playlist rotates again as well.
With today’s reset, there are only two weeks left until the release of the Forsaken expansion. If you are still looking for tips on how to best prepare for the big fall add-on, you will definitely find helpful information here:

Nightfall starting August 21st on PS4, Xbox One and PC
This week, the Nightfall is “Savathûn’s Song”.
Until the next reset on August 28th, you have the chance to earn the following exclusive Nightfall reward: the legendary auto rifle Duty Bound

No modifiers are active in the normal Nightfall!
In Prestige mode, you must activate the modifiers via challenge cards. These cards drop for DLC owners in both normal and Prestige modes of the Nightfall. Don’t forget that you can upgrade your challenge cards with Xur starting Friday.
The following challenges need to be mastered:
- Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with less than 3 deaths
- Armored Minotaur: Eliminate the armored Minotaurs in under 90 seconds
Heroic Strike Modifiers
The respective scorch modifier remains active continuously until the next reset. The other two modifiers change daily. Currently, the following modifiers are active in the heroic strike playlist:
- Solar Scorch: Solar damage from all sources is slightly increased
- Blackout: Enemy melee attacks are significantly stronger and radar is disabled
- Brute: Melee abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster

Flashpoint, Raid Challenge, Treasure Maps, Meditations
The Flashpoint is on Titan this week. There, you need to complete public events.
Cayde-6 has Titan treasure maps ready for you.
Ikora Rey offers meditations for the missions “Unbroken”, “Theft” and “Ice and Shadows”.
The Raid Challenge this week revolves around the final boss Calus.
The loadout for Prestige raid sections is limited this time to a kinetic scout rifle, an energy pulse rifle, and a linear fusion rifle in the power slot.
Crucible
This week, the weekly Crucible playlist features Clash.
Additionally, the new PvP mode “Scorched” is available in the Crucible labs.
Escalation Protocol
If the current rotation continues, you will have the chance to obtain the following weapon from the final boss of the Escalation Protocol this week:

- the legendary shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1

The Eververse Highlights
- Fishing – exotic emote for 3250 Bright Dust
- Archipelago Height – exotic ghost shell for 2850 Bright Dust
- Granite Dust – ornament for the SUROS Regime for 1250 Bright Dust
