Today marks the last week of Season 18 of Destiny 2. An important story detail is still pending, and it will be introduced to the game today. MeinMMO tells you what else is happening after the weekly reset in Bungie’s loot shooter.
This week: In the current Season 18, there is one last cinematic highlight to come – the story epilogue. There, final details will be revealed along with further information about the relics of Nezarek, one of the most mysterious characters in the Destiny universe, and more NPCs will be unveiled.
Along with the long wait for the final story details, players are currently also plagued by the general season burnout. They are struggling not only with the known routine in the game and the predictability of the season model. Annoying game bugs and the currently difficult state of PvP are also critical at the moment. All of this has led to the lowest player counts ever.
However, before players can test the announced improvements in Season 19, there are still a few familiar activities this week. MeinMMO tells you which ones.
The key information about activities from November 29 to December 6.
Strike: Nightfall – The Trial by Fire
- Fallen S.A.B.E.R., in the Cosmodrome
- This week, you must again prevent the devils from gaining control of Rasputin’s war satellites. If that were to happen, guns from the Golden Age would be aimed at the Tower and the Last City within minutes.
This week’s Nightfall weapon: As a reward for your run, you will always receive a special Nightfall weapon.
Playlist Strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Void Singe
- Stasis Burn
- Iron
- The Singe modifier accompanies you all week, while the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
What’s happening in the raid “Kingsfall”:
In the current raid “Kingsfall”, you must face the first raid challenge to receive more loot.
- To specifically complete the challenge “The Grass is Always Greener”, you must, after you have taken the buff from one side and submitted your points, switch sides. This means that once you have dealt with the witch, the knight, and submitted your points on the left side of the totem, you will move to the right side and do the same process there.
You can expect the following raid requirements and challenges:
- In Normal mode, completing a challenge brings you double loot.
- The requirement for each encounter for Grandmasters is at power level 1600 with champions.
- You can only earn status-specific armor and master weapons from the Grandmaster raid.
- You can also earn new raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in the Oryx look from the Grandmaster.
Additional legacy pinnacle rewards from the endgame:
- Be cautious in the raid “The Oryx’s Vow”.
- Play the dungeon “Prophecy” for more pinnacle loot.
Weekly Activities
In Season 18, Guardians can collect cryptic couplets as a pirate with a crew and complete seasonal content. This includes:
- Ketch Crash: Dive into this new 6-player activity in ship-to-ship combat to prevent Eramis and her pirate gang from plunging the galaxy into chaos. You can earn pinnacle loot once a week on Grandmaster.
- Expedition: Assemble treasure maps, search for treasures, and return to your ship while fending off enemy pirate crews.
- Pirate Hides: Fight through weekly missions and loot powerful relics hidden in the haunts of the pirate lords.
In addition to Season 18, the current DLC from “The Witch Queen” are still active and can be played. For example, in the weekly repeatable campaign mission. There’s also top loot to earn there to reach the current max power level of 1580.
Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Last Chance”
- This week, you can play the seventh campaign mission of the Witch Queen as a repeatable story mission. It’s about following Eris’s trusted source, who informs you about an artifact in the Throne World that might contain the answer to how Savathun gained the Light.
Crucible – Here are the PvP playlists:
- Private Match
- Rumble
- Control
- Elimination
- Glory Survival
- Glory Survival: Freelance
