In Destiny 2 today, on the 29th of September, the weekly reset is back. Starting today, the Iron Banner lures with bonuses, but what else awaits the Guardians?
What is happening in Destiny 2? This Destiny week starts off calmly without an update or lengthy copying process. Bungie continues the “compensation bonuses” for the delay of Beyond Light and grants you triple experience gain in the Crucible.
Coincidentally, Lord Saladin appears in the Tower and will hold the next Iron Banner event of Season 11 until the 6th of October. So you can quickly level up PvP ranks this week and prepare yourself with rare mods and good armor for the DLC.
Even though major updates are planned for autumn, thanks to technical improvements everything is expected to run smoother and relieve your groaning hard drives:

These Nightfalls are waiting for you: In the regular Nightfall (Power level 820) there are these Nightfall strikes:
- Strange Terrain
- Savathûn’s Song
- Warden of Nothing
In Nightfall: The Ordeal it’s about to go down in the strike:
- The Churning Kernel
For Strikes and story missions these modifiers are active:
- Void Burn
- Iron
- Heavyweight
As always, the burn modifier remains the same for the entire week. The other modifiers rotate daily.
Crucible: In PvP you can choose from these modes:
- Iron Banner
- Private Match (Core Playlist)
- Rumble (Core Playlist)
- Control (Core Playlist)
- Team Scorched (Rotation Playlist)
- Showdown (Rotation Playlist)
- Elimination (Core Playlist)
- Survival (Core Playlist)

Countdown: The following modifiers are active:
- Solar Burn
- Grenadier
Escalation Protocol: The weapons of the Escalation Protocol are available in the current version with additional perks and mod slots during the Contact Event and the Prophecy Dungeon. However, the armor is still only obtainable through the activity on Mars, but for some time now, also in the “Armor 2.0” variant.

Petra Venj can currently be found (Curse Week 3) for one week in the area “Rheasilvia” of the Dreaming City. Additionally, the 1st Ascendant Challenge is active.

Here’s how Powerful Loot is organized in Destiny 2: There are several levels of Powerful Loot that grant you various power boosts. Accordingly, higher levels also grant higher power boosts.
- Level 1 (up to +3 above the current power level)
- Level 2 (up to +4 above the current power level)
- Level 3 (up to +5 above the current power level)
- Top-tier gear (+5 or more above the power level. The only gear that goes above 1050 and up to a maximum of 1060)
For your information: Power levels gained through the new artifact “Seed of Silver Wings” are not considered for the calculation of the power levels your drops. Here, the average of gear and weapons is crucial.

Since the update 2.8.1 previously powerful rewards have been promoted to top-tier gear. This includes:
- Crucible for 4 matches in a core playlist (Power boost of +1)
- Complete 3 Vanguard Strikes (Power boost of +1)
- Complete 3 games in Gambit or Gambit Prime (Power boost of +1)
- Clan reward from Hawthorne (Power boost of +2)
Keep in mind that until the release of Beyond Light clan rewards do not function correctly.
