In Destiny 2, today, on November 27th, is the Weekly Reset. Season 5 has now begun. Furthermore, there are new activities and challenges for the Guardians. What are this time’s Nightfall strikes and where can you find the Flashpoint?
Season 5 has started: With a small maintenance-related delay, Season 5 is now live in Destiny 2. However, to jump into the fights or hunt for one of the new pinnacle weapons, the Update 2.1.0 must first be downloaded and installed. Only then can you start the new season.
Please note: Until the release of the first Premium DLC Black Armory on December 4, 2018, Destiny 2 is in a transition phase. This may lead to unexpected issues or limitations while playing.
What else is in store for the Guardians? The Curse of the Dreaming City Cycle reaches its third cycle week today. So you have the opportunity to snag the Wishender, an exotic bow. To do this, you need to enter the Broken Throne and this activity is only active in the third curse week.
Additionally, those who still need the quest for the exotic hand cannon Last Hope can look forward to increased chances of encountering the special Ancient One in Gambit. These are also highest at the zenith of the curse.
Nightfall Strikes from November 27 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
You have the choice between three Nightfall strikes. This week there’s:
- Guardian of Nothing
- The Hollow Hideout
- Savathûn’s Song
A power level of 540 is recommended for the Nightfall. Modifiers can be customized through the challenge card. Please note that your gear is locked for the duration of the Nightfall strike.

Powerful loot can be earned if you:
- complete the Nightfall strike
- finish the Nightfall strike with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
In the heroic story missions, the following modifiers are active:
- Void Singe
- Grounded: Damage taken while in the air is significantly increased
- Heavyweight: Power weapons deal more damage and more ammunition is available
The modifiers in the Vanguard Strikes are identical to those in the heroic story missions. The Singe modifier remains active until the next reset. The other two modifiers change daily.
Powerful loot can be earned if you:
- complete 3 heroic story missions
- complete 3 heroic strikes with a focus of the same Light element as a fireteam member
Crucible Activities and Gambit
In the Crucible, you have the choice this week between:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Rumble
- Lockdown
- Private Match
Powerful loot can be earned if you:
- complete 5 Crucible matches
- finish 3 Gambit matches
Escalation Protocol
At the boss of the Escalation Protocol, you can earn the following weapons this week:
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary Shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary Submachine Gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Petra, Bounties
The Flashpoint can be found this week on Titan. There is also a heroic adventure there for which you will receive Powerful gear.
With Ikora Rey you must complete 20 bounties. Then you will receive Powerful gear.
With Hawthorne, you need to gather 5,000 XP for your clan. In return, there’s Powerful gear. Additionally, clans can pick up the weekly raid challenge “Which Witch”, for which you will also receive Powerful gear.
The Drifter has the weekly bounty “Get on with it” ready for you. A successful completion rewards him with Powerful gear.
Petra Venj can be found in the area of Rheasilvia. She offers a mission that rewards Powerful gear. If you complete the Ascendant challenge as well as 8 daily bounties, you can secure two additional Powerful rewards. This week, the 1st Ascendant challenge is active.
Spider has the bounty “Grabflut Summoner” for you and rewards you with Powerful gear upon successful completion.
The loadout for the Prestige raid sectors is limited to a kinetic shotgun, an auto rifle in the energy slot, and a rocket launcher in the power slot. Gladiator is active as a modifier.
The raid challenge takes place this week in the Grove Gardens.
In the Eververse, you can get among other things:
- the leg armor for the new class sets
- a weapon ornament for the sword Black Spire
- a weapon ornament for the auto rifle Workhorse
