Destiny 2 wants to see you sweat today, June 22nd. With the new Weekly Reset, the Grandmaster Nightfall comes for the first time in the Season of the Splicer. Additionally, the seasonal story continues, and in the Raid “Glass Chamber,” you can look forward to a new challenge. What else awaits the Guardians?
This is happening in Destiny 2: Starting today, the extremely difficult Grandmaster Nightfall debuts in Season 14. This is Destiny 2’s toughest PvE challenge, and you really need to prepare well as a team. At least Power Level 1,335 (with artifact) is required.
As a reward, you can earn the Conqueror title and rare Master weapons in Grandmaster. The fusion rifle Plug One.1 is leading the way. Each week, another Nightfall weapon will be featured – even the guns from Season 13 are making a comeback. More about Grandmaster and the Master weapons can be found here.
Here’s what else to expect starting today: The Season of the Splicer offers a few more reasons to log in today:
- The second Raid challenge “The Only Oracle for You” is ready in the Glass Chamber. For this, you must never kill the same oracle twice during the oracle phase – so change positions after each round in the encounter.
- In the Extermination mission, corruption has spread and makes the way through the labyrinth more difficult. However, you can snag top loot with a corrupted keycode here.
- Additionally, the seasonal story surrounding the Fallen in the city, Savathûn, and the looming civil war continues
- In Gambit, you’ll enjoy increased Recklessness all week long – so you rank up faster in the Vagabond.

The Nightfall: The Fireproof sends you into the strike

You have the chance for Plug One.1 in the normal Nightfall and for Grandmaster on the Master version of the fusion rifle:
Playlist Strikes add variety with these modifiers:
- Arc Burn
- Grenadier
- Iron
The elemental burn remains the same all week, while the other two modifiers change daily.
Crucible: In PvP, Lord Shaxx sends you into these modes:
- Private Match
- Rumble
- Control
- Elimination
- Glory Survival
- Glory Survival: Freelance
- Showdown
Petra Venj is now directly at the spawn point in the Dreaming City. The curse in the area is therefore at level 2. At the same time, you can master the 3rd Ascendant Challenge here.

This is the new max level: In the Season of the Splicer, the maximum power level of your gear rises to 1,320. This is a fairly small increase of only +10 (from the previous Season 13). This is intended to reduce the annoying grind, and if you were diligent in Season 13, you only need to play the top activities to push your level.
