Finally, the long-awaited launch of the new expansion “The Witch Queen” has arrived in Destiny 2. While the servers were offline all day today, the excitement among the Guardians has been growing. Even though there are still some unknowns, we will tell you what to expect from the activities this week.
This is happening this week: Guardians will play the new campaign of Witch Queen for the first time today. The latest trailer has already confirmed our collaboration with the Cabal, and both races will fight side by side in the new Season 16. If you don’t know it yet, we’re linking the trailer here:
Additionally, Guardians will also learn the new weapon crafting today. Bungie will gift you the initial materials for this. After the crash course, you will soon be able to forge your own desired weapons, but you will also have to “pay” for them yourself.

The Nightfall: The ordeal is the strike of this week:
- The Scarlet Fortress, on the Moon
- As the first strike in the new Season 16, you will face another Witch in her fortress. Hashladun, the daughter of Crota, has designed the red Hive Bastion to harness the energies of the Pyramid that lies buried in the abyss below. You are to drive her out from her refuge in the strike and thin out the descendants of Oryx.
- Playlist strikes have these modifiers:
- Void Singe
- Stasis Burn
- Earthed
- The burn modifier will accompany you throughout the week, the others will change daily.
These Nightfall weapons are currently available:
- Uzume-RR4, Solar Sniper Rifle (Master)
- Plug.One.1, Arc Fusion Rifle (Master)
This is happening in the Raid “Glass Chamber”:
- In the Glass Chamber, the challenge “The only Oracle for you” takes place. A challenging task and somewhat demanding. The goal is to shoot each Oracle only once. Good communication and organization are essential.
- As a reward, the Time-lost weapon “Praedyth’s Revenge” is waiting in Challenge Mode. This sniper rifle will then definitely come with 2 perks per slot.

Ascendant Challenge:
- Petra Venj has the 2nd Ascendant Challenge for you this week. You can find Petra and her quest offer at the location “The Shore” in the Dreaming City. Here, Savathun also has her fingers in the pie, as the curse begins to reclaim the holy city of the Awoken at level 1.

This is the new max level: In the new season of the Resurrected, the maximum power level of your gear is 1,560. This means that the power level at the start of the DLC has increased by +230 power levels compared to the previous Season 15. However, all players will also be raised to a base power level of 1,350 at the start.
