In the world of Destiny 2, today, January 21st, it is once again: Weekly Reset. This week features the Iron Banner. Read what else awaits you this week.
What’s new in Destiny 2? Last week was all about the Mega Puzzle, which had the community working tirelessly. As a reward, you can earn a new Exotic: Bastion.
For those wanting to blow off some steam after the challenging puzzle, you can do so in the Iron Banner. The PvP event starts right at today’s reset at 6 PM and ends exactly one week later on January 28th. Included is a defusing of the annoying Iron Banner quest. Additionally, there should be a Valor boost.
Starting this evening, you won’t have to wander through the corridors of time any longer. Bungie gives you the quest for Bastion, without any detours in the maze. But what else is on the agenda this week?

These are the sources for Powerful Loot in Season 9 of Destiny 2
This is how Powerful Loot is structured in Destiny 2: Powerful gear comes in various quality tiers. Your power level makes larger jumps with higher tiers.
- Tier 1 (up to +3 above current power level)
- Tier 2 (up to +4 above current power level)
- Tier 3 (up to +5 above current power level)
- Peak Gear (+5 or more above the power level. The only gear that goes above 960 and up to a maximum of 970. Starting from 960 up to +2 power)
The level bonus from the seasonal artifact does not factor into the calculation of the average power level. Here, the average of the gear and weapons is crucial.
