The Weekly Reset in Destiny 2 is eagerly awaited today, as it is expected to launch an Exotic mission. MeinMMO tells you what to expect this week.
What’s happening this week: As previously announced at the start of Season 19, the Exotic mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield” is set to launch today in Destiny 2. To successfully complete this mission, Guardians must gain access to the safest facility in the solar system: a BrayTech orbital platform above the Last City. After that, it is necessary to break through various security levels each week to awaken Rasputin before it’s too late.
Some players also suspect that the mysterious objects that have appeared throughout the solar system are connected to this Exo mission. These include the yellow orbs that look like surveillance drones from Clovis Bray. After all, there are currently almost 50 of them. Additionally, there are the Häkke terminals in the Lost Sectors.
Today’s Weekly Reset could therefore reveal a cipher that sheds light on the mystery. Once Guardians penetrate deep enough into the facility, they will acquire the weapon “Revision Zero”.

Vanguard: Dawn – The Trial
- “Birthplace of Evil” in Savathun’s Throne World
- The strike “Birthplace of Evil” is one of the new strikes introduced with the “The Witch Queen” expansion. It leads the Guardians into a city of darkness, where a cryptoglyph and a special “incubator” can be found where Savathûn’s worm was kept alive. The Guardians must now prevent the mockery from using these facilities again.
This week’s Nightfall weapon: As a reward for your run, you always receive a special Nightfall weapon. With the grenade launcher “Wendigo” and the scout rifle “Disunity,” Bungie has selected two Guardian favorites, which will later also be available in a master version during Season 19.
Playlist strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Arc Singe
- Stasis Burn
- Blackout
- The Singe modifier accompanies you all week, while the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
What’s happening in the raid “King’s Fall”:
In the current raid “King’s Fall,” you must face the fourth raid challenge to receive more loot.
- In the challenge “Under Construction”, during a damage phase where you steal the aura of a witch, you are only allowed to stand on each platform once to generate the dimensional platforms of the runner. After each completed phase, this restriction is reset, and you can stand on each platform once again. If you stand on the same plate twice in one run, the challenge is considered failed.
You can expect the following raid requirements and challenges:
- In normal mode, completing a challenge gives you double loot.
- Only the Grandmaster raid drops status-specific armor and master weapons.
- You can also earn the new raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in the Oryx style in the Grandmaster.
Additional legacy pinnacle rewards from the endgame:
- Go into the raid “Deep Stone Crypt” to farm the new craftable weapons from the Deep Stone Crypt this week.
- Play the dungeon “Prophecy” for additional pinnacle loot.
Crucible – This is the PvP playlist:
- In PvP, the mode “Team Scorched” returns
- In this mode, you can have fun with scorched weapons. But your opponents are aiming for the same goal. So watch out that your Guardian characters don’t get scorched.

- This week, bonus ranks are raining down in the Crucible.
Weekly Activities
In Season 19, titled “Season of the Seraphim,” Guardians can expect various PvE activities again. These include:
- The Heist Battlegrounds
- The exotic mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield”
- And today, starting December 20, also the launch of the exotic weapon “Revision Zero”.
In addition to Season 19, the previous DLC seasons from “The Witch Queen” are still active until the next DLC-Lightfall. For example, you can take part in the weekly repeatable campaign mission and earn pinnacle loot there.
Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Spirits”
- The Guardians have discovered traces of a spirit indicating Sagira. Can the dead spirit of Osiris help uncover the mystery surrounding Savathun? But to reveal the memory, you first need to find it.
