The Guardians community in Destiny 2 will face unexpected changes this week during the weekly reset. Bungie, the developer of the online shooter, has been forced to postpone several events in response to an unforeseen exploit.
This week: The Destiny community was already prepared for two new challenges and an update to be introduced into the game this week.
- The planned weekly reset for today was supposed to mark the start of the Grandmaster difficulty of the “Crota’s End” raid, the new control modifier “Checkmate” in the Crucible Labs, and with update 7.2.0.4, a change in the drop rates for the Souls of the Overmind.
However, due to a critical exploit discovered by clever players, Bungie has been forced to postpone all of this.
Players must now be patient during this cursed Season 22 while Bungie has taken further measures with today’s update to ensure the Grandmaster raid can be conducted fairly and balanced.
Nevertheless, today’s weekly reset will bring refreshed activities and challenges into the world of Destiny 2 to keep players engaged.

Nightfall
- Devil’s Lair, in the Cosmodrome
- There, the Fallen are rampaging again and bringing their megamechs. Load your shotguns, pack your Gjallarhorn, and bring an end to the Fallen God “Sepiks Primus”.
Crucible – This is the rotating PvP activity
- The two modes Rift and Clash are running in PvP this week.
- The launch of the latest mode “Checkmate” has been postponed due to the weapon exploit.
Bonus of the week
- Earn extra rank points in the Crucible.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
Farmable endgame on a weekly rotation: In the further course of the endgame, the Legacy rotations await.
Both the rotating raid, the rotating dungeon, and the exotic rotation missions are farmable. This means you can complete the individual encounters repeatedly to obtain different items and complete your collection, including any exotics available in these contents.

Weekly Activities
Season 22 offers the Guardians new challenges and a card deck that assists them on their missions with buffs and advantages, as long as they unlock everything and assemble their deck appropriately.
- Altars of Summoning: Bring offerings in the Witch Queen’s otherworldly prison to summon horrific enemies, defeat them, and gain their power.
- There are three difficulty levels that you can activate. Anyone who activates “Mighty,” the highest difficulty level with three swords, will surely break a sweat.
- However, upgrading your deck makes it progressively easier.
- Savathûn’s Pillar: Activate the pillar, defeat its overseers, and gain access to the Altars of Summoning.
- Void Crystals have a barrier around them, protecting nearby enemies. The barrier must be entered, and the crystal must be destroyed from within.
- Solar Crystals burn upon pickup and must be transported to a separate part of the arena.
- Arc Crystals grant a melee charge buff “Crystalline Charge”. Inactive Arc Crystals must be awakened with a “Transference Melee”.
Lightfall – Weekly Campaign Mission

- The Guardians must go deep underground in Lightfall to reach the “Veil”. They receive support from Caiatl’s troops in an epic battle at the gates of the Ishtar facility.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
If you still need triumphs from the Dreaming City, then pay attention: Corruption reveals new accesses with a sip of “Queen’s Leaf Tincture”.
- Petra Venj can now be found in the Dreaming City right at the spawn point – as always during the 2nd curse week. Concurrently, the 6th Ascendant Challenge is active.
