In Destiny 2 today, on September 18th, is the Weekly Reset. You can find out which activities, such as the Nightfall strike or Flashpoint, are live with the reset here.
Eventful week ends: In the second Forsaken week, a major event took place in Destiny 2. The raid “Last Wish” opened its doors, where even the best Guardians struggled for nearly 19 hours. When the first fireteam finally cracked the raid, several changes came into play for all Guardians. The Dreaming City is now cursed.
Eventful week starts: The third Forsaken week kicks off today, September 18th, at 7 PM with the Weekly Reset – and it also has an event to offer. The first Iron Banner of Year 2 begins, bringing with it several changes, including powerful loot and a new PvP map.

Nightfall Strikes starting September 18th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
You can choose between three Nightfall strikes each week. This week there are:
- The Terminus of Insight
- Exodus Crash
- Savathun’s Song
The recommended power level is 540. Modifiers are only available through the challenge card. Your equipment is locked during the activity – so choose wisely.
To earn heroic loot, you must:
- Complete the Nightfall strike
- Complete the Nightfall strike with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
In the heroic story missions these modifiers are active:
- Solar Singe
- Iron (Enemies have more health and do not flinch from damage)
- Brawler (Melee abilities deal more damage and charge faster)
Recommended power varies between 280 and 500 depending on the mission.
In the Vanguard Strikes the same modifiers are active as in the heroic story missions. You can choose the following difficulties:
- Level 30 – 300 Power
- Level 40 – 400 Power
- Level 50 – 500 Power
While the Singe modifier remains the same throughout the week, the other two modifiers rotate daily.
To earn powerful loot, you must:
- Complete 3 heroic story missions
- Complete 3 heroic strikes with a focus on the same light element as a fireteam member

Crucible Activities
In the Crucible there are:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Rumble
- Iron Banner (recommended power 500)
- Private Match
To earn powerful loot, you must:
- Complete 5 Crucible matches
- Complete 3 Gambit matches
Additionally, today, on September 18th, there is the daily challenge in the Crucible (complete 1 PvP match for powerful gear)
Escalation Protocol
If the current rotation is maintained, you have a chance at the end boss of the Escalation Protocol this week for the following three weapons:
- the legendary sniper rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary submachine gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Petra and Bounties
The Flashpoint is today in the Tangled Shore. There is also a heroic adventure for powerful gear.
Ikora Rey allows you to complete 20 bounties for powerful gear.
Hawthorne allows you to collect 5000 XP with clan bounties for powerful gear.
The bounty from Spider for powerful gear is called “Silent Reaper” and costs 5 Ghost Fragments. This bounty has not been available before.
Petra Venj is located at a new spot right next to the landing zone. She has a new story mission called “The Oracle Machine”. Additionally, you can again complete 8 daily bounties and an Ascendant challenge to earn powerful gear.
Lord Saladin is located in the Tower above the gunsmith and tasks you with achieving 100 precision kills and 15 kills while your team has a power play in the Iron Banner. For these two bounties, there is powerful gear.
At the Drifter, you should use super attacks, defeat enemies with them, and create Orbs of Light. Then you will receive powerful gear.
In the Eververse, there is the exotic ship “Aeviternal XXII” as well as ornaments for the Eternal Warrior, for Hard Light and for the Rat King.
