Today, on May 18, Season 14 of Destiny 2 enters its next phase. The first Iron Banner will lure you into PvP, but what else is on the Weekly Reset agenda in the MMO shooter? MeinMMO takes a look at the activities and tells you where to find the best loot.
This is happening in Destiny 2: Today marks the second week of Season 14, the season of the Splicer. Before you delve deeper into the Vex network to finish the Endless Night, you need to tackle the new Update 3.2.0.1. A look at the roadmap reveals what awaits you:
Update May 19 07:30 AM: Where are the new Iron Banner weapons from Season 14? Bungie announced that the shotgun “Riftbreaker” and the machine gun “Archon Thunder” can currently only drop from the quest “Diplomacy with an Iron Hand.”
Through tokens, bounties, engrams, or after a match, you have no chance of obtaining the two new weapons. This is a bug, and they are investigating the issue.
- The first Iron Banner event of Season 14 is starting. So visit Lord Saladin in the Tower. He has 4 bounties for the strong top-tier loot and also the small quest “Diplomacy with an Iron Hand.” But remember that your power level plays a role in this PvP mode.
- Additionally, the Iron Lords have expanded the weapon arsenal by 4 guns, it was about time after a year.
- To sweeten your excursion into the Crucible, you will earn additional Valor points throughout the week to level up ranks faster.
- The new Override activity will get another map on the Moon – but you will still start the mode through your H.E.L.M. headquarters.

In Nightfall: The Crucible you can expect the strike

You can now earn one of 3 new weapons in the Crucible each week. Among them is also the famous Unison from Destiny 1 – Is that scout a reward this week?
Playlist Strikes are available with the following modifiers:
- Void Singe
- Heavyweight
- Iron
As always, the Singe modifier remains active throughout the week, the other two change daily at 7 PM.

- Control
- Elimination
- Glory Survival
- Glory Survival: Freelance
- Showdown
Petra Venj is now located in the area “Rheasilvia,” the Dreaming City (so it’s maximum curse week 3). Also, the 4th Ascendant Challenge is active. Recently, a major leak revealed that the Dreaming City is expected to be back in the spotlight soon:
Sources for top loot in Season 14 of Destiny 2
This is the new max level: In the Season of the Splicer, the maximum power level of your gear increases to 1,320. This is a relatively small jump of only +10 (compared to the previous Season 13). This should reduce the annoying grind and if you were diligent in Season 13, you only need to play the top activities to push your level.

- Reach at least 100,000 points as a team in the Nightfall: Crucible (+2)
- Simulation: Exo Challenge (+2)
- Omen Mission (+2)
- Prophecy Dungeon (2+)

- Iron Banner bounties (+2)
- Open 3 Conflux chests with key codes in Override (+1)
- Complete 3 Gambit matches (+1)
- Complete 3 Crucible matches in Control (+1)
- Finish 3 strikes with matching focus (+1)
- Hawthorne’s clan quest
Keep in mind, Bungie stated that currently some rewards are bugged and they are working on a solution. For example, the loot from the Omen mission should also be top gear, and the Deep Stone Crypt is showing incorrect information.
