In Destiny 2 a festive Weekly Reset is approaching as the Dawning 2021 begins. We at MeinMMO will keep you updated on what’s happening this week at the Tower, what is still going on with the 30th anniversary, and what new things there are to discover this week.
This week: It’s festive in Destiny 2 as Bungie kicks off the Dawning 2021. The first snowflake of the season floats down from the sky to the Tower, and the festive Christmas event smells of cookies and the new “Dendrit-Glint” armor. But dress warmly for it, because the snowball fights are returning to the event in 2021.
In the ongoing 30th Anniversary Event, a new rotation for the “Trials of Eternity” on the Legend difficulty starts this week, so you’ll encounter new enemies there. This is especially important if you want to complete the Triumph seal for “30 Years of Bungie”.
Additionally, Bungie is currently dealing with a very serious topic, recently brought back into discussion following an interview with former employees.
With the reset comes a change that players have been waiting for:
- The new dungeon “The Shattered Sorrow” can be played as often as you like after today’s Weekly Reset, just like it was already the case with the Prophecy Dungeon, hence the restriction that you can only run the dungeon once per character and week has been lifted.
Players are currently exploring the anniversary event in the dungeon, with the new “Artful Armor” and the new weapons, such as the Eyasluna hand cannon and the Gjallarhorn being exclusively obtained from the dungeon for owners of the anniversary DLC. The armor is also exclusive as it features a valuable fifth mod slot, which could become very important in the future.

The Nightfall: The Trial by Fire is the following strike this week:
- Devil’s Lair, Cosmodrome
- In this strike in the Cosmodrome, you fight your way through to the giant servitor Sepiks Prime. After he is killed, he was recovered, rebuilt, and fortified with SIVA. On the way to him, you will have to fight through plenty of enemies. The 100K is also doable at lower difficulty levels.
- This week, there is also double loot and thus a bonus boost in the Nightfalls.
- These are the Nightfall weapons available currently:

- Shadow Price, Arc auto rifle (Master)
Playlist strikes have these modifiers:

- Grenadier
- Hot Step
The Singe modifier accompanies you all week, while the others change daily.
This is happening in the raid “Vault of Glass“:
- In the Vault of Glass, the challenge “The Only Oracle For You” takes place. It’s a challenging task and somewhat demanding. The goal is to shoot each oracle only once. Good communication and organization are therefore essential.
- As a reward, in challenge mode, you will get the Time-Lost Weapon “Praedyth’s Revenge” (sniper rifle). The weapon will guarantee 2 perks per slot. However, keep in mind that hard and normal mode share the loot.
- The armor focus in the raid this week is: Mobility

Ascendant Challenge:
- Petra Venj has positioned herself in Rheasilva, as the 3rd curse week is active in the Dreaming City this week. Additionally, there is the 4th Ascendant Challenge called “Keep of the Refined” upcoming this week.
