In Destiny 2 the Festival of the Lost is entering its second round. MeinMMO also informs you what Bungie has planned for this week in terms of raids, dungeons, and the Eververse.
This week: In Destiny 2, the Halloween event 2022 is entering its second round. Players can continue to put on their masks, scare other players, and clean up the haunted sectors.
What activity awaits the Guardians at the Halloween event? Last year, Bungie sent the Guardians into Haunted instead of Lost Sectors. These were decorated in a creepy way, and it was about hunting headless beings that appeared in the form of Hive Knights with pumpkin heads.
This will not change in 2022, only that this year you will fight in Power Ranger mode as “Star-Sheriffs” with your new mech armors. The haunted sectors have only spread to a new location in the EDZ. Additionally, there is the sniper rifle “Dread-Tech” to earn.

Strike: Nightfall – The Fire Trial
The Nightfall: The Fire Trial is the strike:
- “Fallen from Grace”, in the Cosmodrome
- Navôta, the Witch and successor of Omnigul, has the fireteam of Shaw Han, Cas, and Maeve on her conscience. Rob the Hive in the Cosmodrome of their leader again and take revenge – also in the name of Shawn.
This week’s Nightfall weapon: As a reward for your run, you always get a special Nightfall weapon. In Season 18, Bungie offers good, old options.
Playlist Strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Arc Burn
- Heavyweight
- Grounded
- The burn modifier accompanies you the whole week, while the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
This is happening in the raid “King’s Fall”:
- To specifically complete the challenge “The Grass is Always Greener”, after you have taken a buff from one side and submitted your points, you must switch sides. This means, if you first dealt with the Witch, the Knight, and submitted your points on the left side of the totem, you then move to the right side and do the same procedure there.
You can expect the following raid requirements and challenges:
- In normal mode, completing a challenge gives you double loot.
- The requirement for each encounter for Grandmasters is a power level of 1600 with champions.
- You can only get status-specific armors and master weapons from the Grandmaster raid.
- You can also earn new raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in the Oryx look in the Grandmaster.
Additional top rewards from the endgame are available to you:
- In Savathun’s Throne World in the “The Oath of the Student” raid
- On the Moon in the dungeon “Pit of Heresy”
Weekly Activities
In Season 18, Guardians can currently play various seasonal activities. Players have become pirates with their own crew and collected cryptic couplets.
- Catch Crash: Dive into this new 6-player activity in ship-to-ship battles to stop Eramis and her pirate crew from plunging the galaxy into chaos. There is top loot to earn per week on Grandmaster.
- Expedition: Assemble treasure maps, search for treasures, and return to your ship while fending off enemy pirate crews.
- Pirate Hideouts: Fight through weekly missions and loot powerful relics hidden in the hideouts of the pirate lords.
Officially, the seasonal quest is now completed. So if you have played the season promptly this week, you no longer have to complete a new story step officially. However, we know that Mithrax and Eido are investigating the mysterious artifacts of Nezarek. Therefore, no one knows what they will discover and especially what Bungie may have planned beyond that in Season 18.
Additionally, the contents of the current DLC “The Witch Queen” are still active and can be played. For example, in the weekly repeatable campaign mission. There you can also earn top loot to reach the current max power level of 1580.
Savathun’s Throne World – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “The Ritual” – Repeatable Witch Queen campaign mission
- You are to reside in the Throne World at the request of the Vanguard because Savathun has brought the Traveler there. While trying to free him, you must “play games” with her to reveal the betrayal and the last memory of her Worm Ancestor to the Witch Queen. However, whether this was just part of her plan, you must decide for yourself in the end.

How to get free loot: For all new and old Guardians who want to join in the future or after a break, Bungie has prepared the “Gift of the Thunder Gods” in Season 18.
You can pick up this loot chest for free in the H.E.L.M. after completing the “New Light” campaign. It brings you to a power level of up to 1540 or even more – with Arc armors and weapons, as well as two exotic and ten legendary items. You can also claim the rewards for all your characters once.
