In Destiny 2, the Weekly Reset occurs today, October 9th. What activities and challenges are live now? What are the new Nightfall Strikes and where is the Flashpoint?
A new week begins in the Destiny universe. The Curse of the Forsaken in the Dreaming City enters its second week with today’s reset. What the Guardians have to do starting from 09.10. can be found here.
Nightfall Strikes from 09.10. on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
You can choose between three Nightfall Strikes each week. This week, there are:
- Guardians of Nothing
- The Corrupted
- The Pyramidion
The recommended Power Level is 540. Modifiers are only available through the challenge card. Your gear is locked during the activity – so choose wisely.
To earn powerful loot, you must:
- Complete the Nightfall Strike
- Complete the Nightfall Strike with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
In the Heroic Story Missions, these modifiers are active:
- Solar Overwhelming
- Blackout: Enemy melee attacks are significantly stronger and the radar is disabled
- Brute: Melee abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster
In the Vanguard Strikes, the same modifiers as in the Heroic Story Missions are active. You can select different difficulties, with a maximum of “Level 50 – 500 Power”.
While the Overwhelming modifier remains the same all week, the other two modifiers change daily.
To earn powerful loot, you must:
- Complete 3 Heroic Story Missions
- Complete 3 Heroic Strikes with the same light element focus as a fireteam member
Crucible Activities and Gambit
In the Crucible, there are:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Rumble
- Domination
- Private Match
To earn powerful loot, you must:
- Complete 5 Crucible Matches
- Complete 3 Gambit Matches
Escalation Protocol
If the current rotation is maintained, you have the chance to obtain the following weapon from the end boss of the Escalation Protocol this week:
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Petra, and Bounties
The Flashpoint is on Titan from today. There’s also a heroic adventure that drops Powerful Gear.
Ikora Rey allows you to complete 20 bounties for Powerful Gear.
Hawthorne allows you to collect 5000 XP with Clan Bounties for Powerful Gear. Additionally, she offers the weekly bounty “Summoning Ritual”, which also drops Powerful Gear upon successful completion.
With the Spider, you can tackle the weekly bounty “The Traveler’s Power” for powerful gear. You need to earn points by using your Super, defeating enemies and Guardians with your Super, and creating Orbs of Light.
Petra Venj is situated right next to the landing zone of the Dreaming City this time. She has a mission for which you will receive powerful gear – as well as for the Ascendant Challenge and the completion of 8 daily bounties.
Spider offers the bounty “Devourer of Grasp” again, which has powerful gear as a reward. You need 5 Ghost Fragments for that.
The Loadout for the Prestige Raid is limited this time to any kinetic weapon, an energy fusion rifle, and a fusion rifle in the power slot. Arsenal is the active modifier.
The Raid Challenge takes place this time in the Circus.
In the Eververse, there is the exotic Ghost Shell Exemplary Precision and the exotic emote Sad Trombone. Additionally, there are ornaments for the exotic grenade launcher Colony and the exotic hand cannon Service Revolver. Tess also has the leg armor for the new class sets on offer.
