Today, on August 13, the Weekly Reset rotates the weekly activities in Destiny 2. New weekly challenges, fresh Nightfall strikes, and a different Flashpoint planet are waiting for the Guardians. Furthermore, the last week of Moments of Triumph begins. What does the new week have in store for the Guardians?
Last chance for Triumph moments: With today’s reset, Guardians enter the last week to complete the Moments of Triumph, namely the Triumph moments 2019, and secure the title MMXIX.
Originally, the Triumph moments were supposed to end on August 28. However, due to the delay of Shadowkeep to October 1, Bungie has also extended the Triumph moments by two weeks. If you still want the title or other rewards but have not yet completed all Triumphs despite the extra time, you should hurry. Because with the reset on September 17, it will be over.
But what does the new week bring?
Nightfall strikes starting September 10 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
This week, the following Nightfalls can be challenged by you:
- The Terminus of Insight
- The Twisted Column
- A Garden World

If you are hunting for powerful rewards, then
- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Successfully complete a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
If you are participating in Vanguard Strikes and heroic Story Missions, you will encounter the following modifiers:
- Solar Singe
- Grounded
- Brute
Keep in mind: The singe element remains unchanged until the reset on September 17. The other two modifiers rotate daily.
If you are hunting for powerful rewards, then
- Complete 3 heroic Story Missions
- Complete 3 heroic Strikes with the focus element corresponding to the active singe element
Crucible, Gambit, Gambit Prime, Reckoning
In these PvP modes, you can currently let loose:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Doubles
- Rumble
- Private Match
By the way, in Gambit and Gambit Prime, there are increased Infamy points this week.
This week, the following modifiers are active in Reckoning:
- Void Singe
- Prism
- Brute
If you are hunting for powerful rewards, then
- Play 5 Crucible Matches
- Play 3 Gambit Matches
- Play 4 Gambit Prime Matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
If you master the bounty “The Power of the Traveler” from the Drifter, you will also receive a Powerful Item.
Escalation Protocol
If you are still hunting for any weapons from the Escalation Protocol on Mars – This week there is, with a bit of luck
- the legendary Shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
If you want to get the armor from the Escalation Protocol with the new Armor 2.0 standard as quickly as possible after the release of Shadowkeep, you can actually start working on it now.
Flashpoint, Werner/Benedict 99-400, Ada-1, Petra, Spider
If you are looking for the Flashpoint, you should check out Nessus this time. Complete the Flashpoint challenge there as well as the marked heroic adventure, and you will receive 2 Powerful rewards as a reward.
If you complete the 4 weekly bounties from Werner/Benedict 99-40, you will receive one Powerful Item per bounty. If you complete all four, you will receive an additional Powerful reward. Furthermore, up to 3 more Powerful rewards can be earned through the Menagerie. However, you will need the corresponding upgrades to the Chalice of Opulence.
Ada-1 offers all powerful weapon rolls from the Black Armory.
Ikora Rey rewards you with Powerful loot as soon as you master 20 random bounties.
After reaching 5,000 Clan XP, you are rewarded with a Powerful reward from Hawthorne. If you also complete her bounties “Endless Battle”, “To Each Their Own”, “With Both Hands”, and “An Overwhelming Affair” successfully, you will receive one Powerful Item per bounty.
Petra Venj can now be found (Curse Week 2) for one week directly at the landing zone of the Dreaming City. When you complete Petra’s mission, the Ascendant Challenge, and a total of 8 of her daily bounties for her, you will receive Powerful loot for each of these tasks. By the way, currently, the 6th Ascendant Challenge is active.
Spider has this time the weekly bounty “Flood Summoner” in stock. Complete this task and you will receive Powerful loot.
