In Destiny 2, the new Weekly Reset on August 10 brings the “Epilogue” of the Season of the Splicer. It introduces a new quest, a final override mission, a cool cinematic, and brings action back to the MMO just before the end of the season. What else can you expect this week?
This is what the Epilogue looks like: The Season 14, the Season of the Splicer, ends on August 24. Today, August 10, marks the start of the last event of the chapter: the so-called Epilogue. In it, the Vex attack the Last City – the nasty Lakshmi has been warning us about the invasion for weeks and has now simply initiated the civil war.
Today, the quest “As Prophecized” starts in the Epilogue. For you, there is also a new override mission in the Eliksni refugee camp of the Last City. After that, you can enjoy an action-packed video. The Vex receive support from the Taken. Make sure to equip weapons and mods against barrier and unstoppable champions.

The Nightfall: The Devil’s Lair awaits the strike
- Terminus of Insight – the Psion Kargen wants to challenge you on Nessus.
- In the Grandmaster Nightfall, you can also repeat all previous Nightfalls. Good for those still working on their Conqueror title.
- The iconic scout rifle Uneinigkeit (Hung Jury) is available as a reward in the Nightfall loot pool.

The elemental modifier remains the same until the next Weekly Reset, the others rotate daily.
In the raid “Vault of Glass“, this happens:
- In the raid, you will face the challenge at the Gatekeeper: “Time-Lost” requires you to kill Wyverns and Vex Minotaurs at the portal simultaneously. So take down the Wyverns first and finish them off simultaneously or eliminate them with a super directly while the relic holder deals with the Minotaur.
- As a reward in the raid’s challenge mode, a time-lost weapon awaits. This week, the rocket launcher Heze’s Revenge will drop with surplus and cluster bombs from the challenge.
