In Destiny 2 today’s Weekly Reset, on June 9th, finally marks the start of Season 11. The weekly activities such as the Nightfall Strikes and the Flashpoint are also rotating. What else can the Guardians look forward to this week?
What's happening in Destiny 2? After the Guardians have downloaded and installed the new update 2.9.0 it's finally time to embark on the new content of the Season of Arrival.
Update – Issues on PS4: Currently (9:30 PM), Destiny 2 is experiencing server issues on PlayStation 4. Bungie confirms they are working on it. However, keep in mind that it may officially take until 11:00 PM, when the maintenance is expected to be completed.
Bungie was surprisingly tight-lipped about Season 11. Only with a live stream was the secret of the season revealed and the further future of Destiny 2 unveiled:

- Destiny 2 will continue as an MMO for years – Beyond Light and plans until 2022
Since this is the first Weekly Reset of Season 11 and a lot has changed in the game, we have to get a clearer picture of the changes ourselves, so this post is a bit shorter than you might be used to.
Next week, however, the reset will be covered in as much detail as possible.
The key information about weekly activities from June 9th to June 16th.
These Nightfall Strikes are available: For the normal Nightfall (Power level 820), you can choose from these Nightfalls:
- Shadow Sea
- Exodus Crash
- The Wretched Core
In Nightfall: The Trial by Fire you can face the strike
- The Corrupted
in combat.
For Strikes and Story Missions these modifiers are activated:
- Solar Scorch
- Grounded
- Wrath
Be aware that the Scorch modifier remains the same throughout the week. The other modifiers rotate daily.
Crucible: These modes and playlists can be played in PvP:
- Private Match (Core Playlist)
- Rumble (Core Playlist)
- Control (Core Playlist)
- Conflict (Rotational Playlist)
- Showdown (Rotational Playlist)
- Elimination (Core Playlist)
- Survival (Core Playlist)
- Survival: Freelance (Core Playlist)
- Classic Mix (Core Playlist)
Account Settlements: These modifiers are available:
- Void Scorch
- Grenadier
Escalation Protocol: If you successfully fight through the Escalation Protocol on Mars, you have chances to obtain:
- the legendary sniper rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary submachine gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
The current Flashpoint can be found in the Shattered Shore.
Petra Venj can currently be found (Curse Week 2) for one week right at the landing zone of the Dreaming City. She sends you on a mission in the 3rd Ascendant Challenge.
