A new week starts in Destiny 2 and we are giving you an overview of the content and events that await you in the coming days. We also have a fiery announcement to make: The Iron Banner returns this week.
This is happening this week: The Iron Banner, a popular seasonal PvP event in Destiny 2, starts this week for the first time in Season 22.
The Wolves of Lord Saladin call upon all brave Guardians to participate in the intense battles of the Iron Banner. In the new season, there are also a few fresh rewards to earn that come in the Iron Banner look:
- The Arc precision bow “Antler Shoot” from the Cassoid Forge.
- Additionally, the Strand scout rifle “The Leading Sight”, which has a high penetration.
Which mode is active in the Iron Banner? For all who like to know in advance what is coming to earn these weapons: You should play Iron Banner in the “Fortress” mode. If that doesn’t appeal to you, then we recommend waiting for the second Iron Banner on October 10. There you can shine in the tried-and-true “Control” mode.
The Iron Banner is a great opportunity to prove your skills in the Crucible and measure yourself against other Guardians on a pleasant level.
In addition to the iron fight in PvP, it is also the first week of the Crota raid. The Guardians wish for the Contest mode of the Worlds First to return, as that was a lot of fun.
The most important information about activities from September 5 to September 12.
Nightfall
Season 22 has full battlefield power in the Nightfall, as all three battlegrounds are in the rotation. This should put your builds to a hard test. On September 12, the PvE endgame officially starts in Destiny 2 with the top-tier Nightfalls.
However, this week you first have to face the Daughter of Crota and climb the Scarlet Fortress.
- The Scarlet Fortress, on the Moon
- Hashladun, the Daughter of Crota, has designed the red Cabal bastion to harness the energies of the pyramid buried in the abyss below. You are to drive her out from her refuge in the strike and further thin out the offspring of Oryx.
Crucible – This is the rotating PvP activity
In the second week of the season, the two modes Conflict and Team Scorch are running in PvP.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Rotations
Farmable endgame in weekly rotation: In the further course of the endgame, the Legacy rotations await.
Both the rotation raid, the rotation dungeon, and the exotic rotation missions are farmable. This means you can complete the individual encounters repeatedly to receive various items and complete your collection. Including possible exotics available in those contents.
- The weekly Legacy raid is “Deep Stone Crypt” with the weapon exotic
“Eyes of Tomorrow”
- Furthermore, there are extra top loot and the exotic “Xenophage” in the dungeon “Pit of Heresy”.
- The weekly exotic mission is “Operation Seraph’s Shield” with the exotic “Revision Zero”.
Weekly Activities
Season 22 offers Guardians new challenges and a card deck that supports them on their missions with buffs and benefits, as long as they unlock everything and assemble their deck appropriately.
- Altars of Summoning: Offer sacrifices in the otherworldly prison of the Witch Queen to summon hideous foes, defeat them, and gain their power.
- There are three difficulty levels that you can activate. So anyone who activates “Mighty”, the highest difficulty level with three swords, will also face a mighty sweat.
- Savathûn’s Pillar: Activate the pillar, defeat its overseers, and gain access to the Altars of Summoning.
- Void Crystals have a barrier around them that protects enemies nearby. The barrier must be entered and the crystal destroyed from the inside.
- Solar Crystals burn upon pickup and must be transported to a separate part of the arena.
- Arc Crystals grant the melee charge buff “Crystalline Charge”. Inactive Arc Crystals must be awakened with a “Transfer Melee”.
Lightfall – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “Bonebreaker”
- This mission reveals more information about the Cloud Ark that the Guardians are to discover. Rohan therefore sends you to the reactor of the network and infrastructure of Neomuna.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
- Petra Venj can be found in the area of Rheasilvia in the Dreaming City. The whole zone is under the 3rd curse week. The 4th Ascendant Challenge is to be mastered.
