In Destiny 2 today, on April 9th, Weekly Reset is happening. The Arc week has started. Additionally, weekly activities like the Nightfall Strikes or the Flashpoint are rotating. What new things are there to do?
After the Update 2.2.1 is now live, Destiny 2 begins the Arc week with the weekly reset. This is a kind of theme week focusing on the Arc element. Guardians can look forward to Arc burns, revamped Arc subclasses, or the return of the Thunderlord quest.

What else does the new week bring for the Guardians?
Nightfall Strikes starting April 9th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
This time you have the following Nightfall Strikes to choose from:
- A Garden World
- The Arms Dealer
- The Hollowed Lair
You should bring a power level of 540 for this. However, if you are playing as a coordinated team, you can face the Nightfall with a lower power level. You can adjust the modifiers on the challenge card.
These Nightfall-exclusive rewards can be earned with a bit of luck.
For powerful rewards from the Nightfall Strikes, you need to do the following:
- Complete a Nightfall successfully
- Master a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
The modifiers in the Vanguard Strikes and heroic story missions are the same.
- Arc Burn
- Glass: Health and shields are reduced by half, but recovery is twice as fast
- Grenadier: Grenade abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster
The burn element remains unchanged for a week. The other two modifiers change daily.
For powerful rewards from Strikes and heroic missions, you need to do the following:
- Complete 3 heroic story missions
- Complete 3 heroic Strikes with a focus of the same light element as a member of your fireteam
Crucible, Gambit, Reckoning
These modes are available in the Crucible:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Mayhem
- Rumble
- Private Match
The following modifiers are active in Reckoning:
- Arc Burn
- Blackout
- Heavyweight
For powerful rewards from PvP, Gambit, and Reckoning, you need to do the following:
- Complete 5 Crucible matches
- Complete 3 Gambit matches
- Complete 4 Gambit Prime matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
The Drifter offers weekly bounties for Gambit Prime and “X” for regular Gambit. These bounties reward you with a powerful reward.
Escalation Protocol
In the Escalation Protocol, you can earn the following weapons with a bit of luck:
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary Shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary Submachine Gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Ada-1, Petra, Spider, Raid
The Flashpoint can be found on Io. For this and for the marked adventure there, you will be rewarded with powerful loot.
Visit Amanda Holiday in the Tower Hangar. There, the Thunderlord quest will start for you (in case you still need this exotic machine gun)
Ada-1 now has all 7 powerful weapon frames.
Ikora Rey will reward you powerfully once you have successfully completed 20 bounties of any kind. You can also get the Loyalty Reward from her, provided your loyalty is to the Vanguard. Otherwise, you will receive this reward from the Drifter.
From Hawthorne you will receive a powerful item once you have accumulated 5000 Clan XP. Through her bounties “Friends?”, “Summoning Ritual”, and “All for One, One for All”, you can also secure additional powerful loot.
Petra Venj is now located at the Pavilion in the area “The Shore”. For her mission, as well as for the Ascendant Challenge and the 8 daily bounties, she will drop a powerful reward each time. Currently, the 2nd Ascendant Challenge is active.
Spider has the weekly bounty “Arcadia Accord” available. For this, he rewards you with a powerful item.
The Raid Challenge takes place in the Royal Baths.
