In Destiny 2, the Weekly Reset today, on February 9, 2021, marks the beginning of the new Season 13. We at MeinMMO will tell you what the Season of the Chosen brings and take a look at the weekly tasks.
What is currently happening in Destiny 2? With the Weekly Reset today, the new Season 13 (The Season of the Chosen) goes live. But before you can dive into the new content, you first need to download update 3.1.0.
Don’t be surprised that today’s reset is a bit shorter than usual. That’s because we need to take a closer look at the new seasonal activities and quests.
The most important things to start the new Season: Season 13 welcomes you with a story about the unyielding Commander Zavala and the Cabal. Until May 11, you’ll mainly be dealing with the turtle aliens and the probably ugliest princess in the universe.
Additionally, you can expect right at the start today:
- The seasonal Battleground activity is supposed to be available right at the Weekly Reset. Here you will team up in groups of three (with player search) to battle the Cabal.
- Today, you should also be able to start a quest while you continue to improve your nasty Stasis powers and find new fragments.
- We already know that two fresh Strikes await you right at the start of the season, which veterans will know from Destiny 1. A completely new Strike will follow later.
- You can look forward to a new season pass that needs leveling up and gives paying Guardians a new exotic immediately (Free2Play players unlock it at level 35). What the bow “Ticuus’ Prophecy” has in store for you will be revealed soon on MeinMMO.
- You can also hunt for a new quest weapon, which leads you to either Gambit, PvP, or Strikes.

In Nightfall: The Ordeal you have to master the Strike

Playlist Strikes are available with the following modifiers:
- Solar Burn
- Momentum
- Iron
It should be noted here that the Burn modifier does not change throughout the week. The other modifiers, however, rotate daily.
Crucible: These playlists and modes can be played in PvP:

- Control
- Elimination
- Glory Survival
- Glory Survival: Freelance
- Showcase
Petra Venj can currently be found (Curse Week 1) at the Pavilion in the area “The Shore.” Additionally, the 2nd Ascendant Challenge is active.
