With today’s weekly reset, the content drought of the past months is over in Destiny 2. Although the story from Season 15 about Savathun is still open, players can now enjoy the new activities for the anniversary “30 Years of Bungie” starting today. We at MeinMMO show you what new things there are to discover this week.
This week: Bungie is taking its extended Season 15 time to celebrate its 30th anniversary extensively with the players. For this reason, many new contents have come to the game today that are meant to remind of glorious moments and special places from the past.
Bungie has packed the weekly reset on December 7th to the brim. The birthday event also kicks off the 2021 Triumph Moments as well as the Iron Banner. At least for the Triumph Moments, it is known that they will also reference Bungie’s anniversary.

In addition, many changes are going live with update 3.4.0 that Bungie has already announced:
- Including the nerf for the Vex Mythoclast, which is among the best weapons in Season 15.
- Adjustments to various weapon archetypes, such as for example, exotics and shotguns
- Comprehensive changes to melee and super abilities including a new cooldown system.
Bungie clearly has no problem turning many things upside down to ensure more gunplay, especially in PvP. It’s quite possible that Destiny 2 may feel different for many players starting tonight due to these adjustments.

The Nightfall: The Trial by Fire is the following strike this week:
- The Corrupted
- In this strike in the Dreaming City, you must free the Techean Sedia. However, Bungie has made adjustments to the strike because it was partially buggy and overall very long. Brave guardians may find it somewhat easier this week.
- These Nightfall weapons are currently available:
- Palindrome, Void Hand Cannon (Master)
- The Swarm, Arc Machine Gun (Master)
Playlist strikes have these modifiers:
- Void Singe
- Stasis Burn
- Blackout
The singe modifier will accompany you all week; the others change daily.
Additionally, you will receive a boost to your Crucible and Iron Banner ranks this week.
What’s going on in the raid “Vault of Glass”:
- In the Vault of Glass, you can take on the challenge “Wait for it…” where you may only kill the Wyverns during the encounter when they start to sacrifice themselves at the conflux. This is not so easy. If only one succeeds in sacrificing themselves, you must start over.
- As a reward, the challenge mode will grant the time-lost weapon “Vision of Confluence”. The weapon will then guarantee 2 perks per slot. However, keep in mind that hard mode and normal mode share the loot.
- The armor focusing in the raid this week is: Strength

Ascendant Challenge:
- Petra Venj can be conveniently found right at the spawn point of the Dreaming City. The entire zone is in the 2nd curse week. You can prove yourself in the 3rd Ascendant Challenge called “Shattered Ruins”.

This is the new max level: In the Season of the Lost, the maximum power level of your gear is 1,330. Thus, the power level has only increased by +10 compared to the previous Season 14.
