Today, on July 7th, the Weekly Reset is taking place in Destiny 2 with the rotation of weekly activities including new Nightfalls and a fresh Flashpoint for the Guardians. Furthermore, the Triumph Moments 2020 are starting.
What’s happening in Destiny 2? The new Destiny week kicks off with update 2.9.1 and the mandatory maintenance that is expected to last until around 01:00 AM. However, according to Bungie, there shouldn’t be a longer downtime. Logging in should be possible from 07:00 PM.
After installing the update, the Guardians can expect an exciting Destiny week. Because even though the first Iron Banner event of the new season has just ended with a player record, a new event is already starting today:

These Nightfalls are available: For the regular Nightfall (Power level 820), the following Nightfall strikes are available:
- Tree of Probabilities
- Savathûn’s Song
- Warden of Nothing

Strikes and story missions feature the following modifiers:
- Void Singe
- Iron
- Heavyweight
The Singe modifier remains the same until the next Weekly Reset. The other two modifiers change daily.

Escalation Protocol: In the current version with additional perks and mod slots, there are the weapons of the Escalation Protocol available at the contact event and the prophecy dungeon. The armor is still only obtainable through activities on Mars, but for some time also in the “Armor 2.0” variant.
The Flashpoint is located on Titan this week.
Petra Venj can currently be found in the Rheasilvia area of the Dreaming City. Here, the maximum curse level (3) is in effect. Additionally, the 1st Ascendant Challenge is active.

This is how powerful loot is organized in Destiny 2: Powerful loot comes in several tiers that provide you with various power boosts. Accordingly, higher tiers provide you with higher power boosts.
- Level 1 (up to +3 over current power level)
- Level 2 (up to +4 over current power level)
- Level 3 (up to +5 over current power level)
- Peak gear (+5 or more over the power level. The only gear that exceeds 1050 and reaches a maximum of 1060)
For your information: Power levels gained from the new artifact “Seed of the Silver Wings” are not considered for the calculation of the power levels of your drops. Here, the average of gear and weapons is decisive.
