The new week in Destiny 2 surprisingly offers many opportunities to shape the Guardian’s everyday life. Today, on July 6th, a visit to the Glass Chamber is worthwhile, the Festival of the Lost starts and new and rehashed loot is to be hunted. What does the fresh weekly reset offer in detail?
There’s a lot to do today: If you have successfully downloaded the new patch 3.2.1, there’s a lot going on in Destiny 2. The mid-season update brought with it the “Festival of the Lost“. So visit Eva Levante in the Tower and get to earning the radiant event armor and event weapon (see title image).
But also, Season 14 shows that it hasn’t spent all its ammo yet:
- The sandbox has been significantly shaken up. In PvE, you’ll enjoy a buff for the Sleeper Simulant and in PvP, meta weapons like shotguns and 120 hand cannons have been nerfed – which weapons will dominate now? The important buffs and nerfs of update 3.2.1
- There’s a lot to do in the raid “Glass Chamber”: Starting today, you can expect the new difficulty Grandmaster and it introduces time-warped weapons to Destiny 2.
- A new challenge awaits you in the raid at the Gatekeeper: “Strangers in Time” requires you to kill Wyverns and Vex Minotaurs (Praetorians) in the portal at the same time. Shoot the Wyverns down first and give them the finishing blow in parallel or take them out with a super directly while the relic bearer deals with the Minotaur.
- The dusty locations Moon and the Dreaming City receive a loot upgrade today: Destiny 2 brings you more weapons: 12 old guns are being buffed.
The seasonal story of Season 14 is taking a break for now. Only on August 10th will the events surrounding Savathûn and the endless night continue – as revealed by the roadmap. What other reasons does the new reset bring to log in?

This week, the fusion rifle Plug One.1 is in the Nightfall loot pool. If you manage to get through the leaderboard, you can snag the better master version. Throughout the week, you’ll receive double loot in the Nightfall.
Playlist Strikes have the following modifiers:

- Heavyweight
- Blackout
The elemental burn remains the same throughout the week, the other modifiers rotate daily.
Crucible: Lord Shaxx offers these PvP modes:
- Private Match
- Rumble
- Control
- Elimination
- Glory Survival
- Glory Survival: Freelance
- Dynamics Control
Petra Venj is at the pavilion in the area “The Shore” in the Dreaming City. The curse cycle restarts and Curse Week 1 is active. Additionally, you can prove yourself in the 5th Ascendant Challenge.

This is the new max level: In the Season of the Splicer, the maximum power level of your gear rises to 1,320. That is a relatively small jump of only +10 (from the previous Season 13). This aims to reduce the annoying grind and if you were diligent in Season 13, you only need to play the top activities to push your level.
