In Destiny 2, today, on August 6th, is the Weekly Reset. There are new weekly activities and challenges for the Guardians. Additionally, fresh Nightfalls and a new Flashpoint are ready.
Currently, the Solstice of Heroes is still running in Destiny 2. The event is scheduled to end on August 27th as planned despite the postponement of Shadowkeep. The Triumph moments have been extended until September 17th.

Nightfalls starting August 6th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
These are the current Nightfalls:
- Sea of Shadows
- The Hollowed Lair
- Will of the Thousands

- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Successfully complete a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
These are the active modifiers in the Vanguard Strikes and heroic story missions:
- Void Burn
- Iron
- Heavyweight
Remember that the Burn modifier stays active all week; the other modifiers change daily.
Here’s how to obtain powerful rewards:
- Complete 3 heroic story missions
- Complete 3 heroic strikes with the focus element that corresponds to the active burn element
Crucible, Gambit, Gambit Prime, Reckoning
These PvP modes you can play this week:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Doubles
- Rumble
- Private Match
These are modifiers for Reckoning:
- Solar Burn
- Momentum
- Grenadier
Here’s how to obtain powerful rewards:
- Complete 5 Crucible matches
- Complete 3 Gambit matches
- Complete 4 Gambit Prime matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
At the Wanderer, there is another powerful reward; you just need to complete the bounty “Get on with it”.
Escalation Protocol
At the boss fight in Escalation Protocol on Mars, you have the chance to earn the following weapon:
- the legendary SHOTGUN IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Werner/Benedict 99-40, Ada-1, Petra, Spider
Complete the Flashpoint on Mars and its accompanying adventure to earn 2 powerful rewards.
Werner/Benedict 99-40 has 4 new weekly bounties available. Each of them is rewarded with a powerful reward. If you complete all 4 tasks, there is an extra powerful reward. Additionally, there are 3 more powerful rewards waiting for you in the Menagerie. However, you should have made appropriate upgrades to your Chalice of Opulence for that.
All powerful weapon forms of the Black Armory are available from Ada-1.
For completing 20 bounties of any kind this week, Ikora Rey will reward you with a powerful item.
If you diligently collect clan XP, Hawthorne will reward you with a powerful reward. 5,000 clan XP are required for this. Further powerful loot can be earned by completing the bounties “A Troubling Affair”, “Endless Battle”, “Stay on Target” and “Restricted Blessing”. Each bounty is rewarded with a powerful reward.
Petra Venj is currently (Curse week 3) found in the Rheasilvia region of the Dreaming City. For powerful rewards, you should master Petra’s mission, the 8 daily bounties, and the 1st Ascendant challenge. You receive a powerful reward for each of these tasks. Furthermore, until the next reset, the Shattered Throne can be contested, which is required for the masterwork upgrade of a piece of the Solstice armor. But don’t worry, you have more than just this week to do it.
The weekly bounty “Blood Splicer” from Spider grants you another powerful reward.
