In Destiny 2, the weekly reset is approaching, and that means it’s time for a new part of the seasonal Season 21 story and the reset of weekly activities. MeinMMO gives you an overview as always.
This is happening this week: With the weekly reset in Destiny 2, Guardians can expect another and especially new piece of story of the seasonal story in week 3.
- This week, Guardians will face Kelgorath, and to do this, they will have to dive deep into the quest “In the Depths” to extract further information about the Witness’s past from Sloane.
Some Guardians are also still hoping for an exotic quest that was leaked beforehand. It is said to bring the last undiscovered Exo weapon of Season 21, supposedly a scout rifle, into the game. However, rumors say that Bungie plans to reveal this only in week 10. If not, the leak was just smoke and mirrors.

Vanguard: Nightfall – The Trial by Fire
- “Fallen from Grace”, in the Cosmodrome
- Navôta, the Witch and successor of Omnigul, has the Fireteam of Shaw Han, Cas, and Maeve on her conscience. Rob the Hive in the Cosmodrome of their leader again and take revenge – also in the name of Shawn.
You can earn the master versions of all Nightfall weapons in Season 21 starting June 13.
Crucible – This is the rotating PvP activity
- The two modes Conflict and Team Scorched are running in PvP this week.
- This week, you will also get a bonus on your Crucible rank points.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
Farmable Endgame on a weekly rotation: In the further endgame, legacy rotations are waiting. This means both the rotation raid and the rotation dungeon are farmable. This means you can complete the individual encounters repeatedly to obtain various items and complete your collection, including possible exotics available in these contents.
- The weekly legacy raid is the “Deep Stone Crypt” with the Exo “Eyes of Tomorrow”.
- In addition, the dungeon “Pit of Heresy” has extra pinnacle loot with the exotic MG “Xenophage”
Bungie will further expand these activity rotations from Season 22. Then players will not only be able to play raids and dungeons as “legacy,” but also old exotic missions.
Weekly Activities
With the weekly reset, several activities and challenges have been updated again, offering players a variety of rewards and progress, and through repetition, making better Guardians out of them.
- In the new Season 21, the Guardians must dive to the ocean floor of Titan, as it is infested by the Taken and the Hive. They search the bottom of its methane ocean for something. This promises the solution of ancient secrets and further information about the origins of the Witness.
Lightfall – Weekly Campaign Mission
- “Desperate Measures”
- The Guardians must go deep underground in Lightfall to reach the “Veil”. They receive support from Caiatl’s troops in an epic battle at the gates of the Ishtar facility.
Ascendant Challenge – Dreaming City
If you still need triumphs from the Dreaming City, listen up: Corruption reveals new accesses with a sip of “Queen’s Leaf Tincture.”
- Petra Venj has the 3rd Ascendant Challenge for you this week. You can find Petra and her quest offer at the location “Divalian Mists” in the Dreaming City. The city of the Awoken enters the second phase of corruption.

This is the new max level: In the new Season of Depth (Season 21), the power level does not increase further. Therefore, the maximum power level of your equipment that you can achieve remains at 1,810, and you can enjoy the new seasonal content without stress and recharge your resources significantly through the fishing activity.
- In Lightfall, new Guardians start at power level 1,600.
- The soft cap is at 1,750.
- The powerful cap at 1,800.
- With pinnacle loot, you can reach the hard cap of 1,810.
