For today’s weekly reset in Destiny 2, the Grandmaster difficulty tier of the “Oath of the Student” raid starts. You can find out what challenges the current week still holds on MeinMMO as always.
This week: Do you enjoy raid challenges? Then when Grandmaster starts, you can expect to receive kicks from Rhulk with even greater ferocity in the current raid “Oath of the Student”.
The power level for the raid is set at Grandmaster at 1,580, with a seasonal cap of +30. By completing challenges, you can not only finish the “Oath of the Student” triumph seal but also earn the Sparrow “Light Weaver”. Each completed encounter also has a chance to drop a master version of a specific weapon from the raid.
Additionally, there’s a preview of Season 17 this week. It’s set to start on May 24, but Bungie’s staff have already tweeted about it. A few things for Season 17 are confirmed, such as the start of a new dungeon and upcoming meta changes for weapons. How the story continues is still completely open. Apparently, you can still expect some “Aha” moments in the future.

The Nightfall: The Trial by Fire is the strike of the week:
- The Mirror Corridor, on Jupiter’s moon Europa
- Elsie Bray requests the Guardians’ help to stop the Vex’s advance on Europa. Prepare yourselves and defeat the Transcendent Spirit once again in the Nightfall.
- Playlist Strikes have these modifiers:
- Arc Burn
- Heavyweight
- Iron
- The burn modifier will accompany you throughout the week, while the others change daily.
The following weapons can be obtained from Nightfalls: Each week, players can receive specific weapons from the Nightfall strikes. Currently, there are eight weapons in rotation in the loot pool. Two of them are available each week.

- The Hothead, Arc Rocket Launcher
- The Palindrome – 140 Hand Cannon
- Fixed Duty – 600 Kinetic Auto Rifle
- Silicon Neuroma – 72 Kinetic Sniper Rifle

Top-tier Nightfalls: To start in the King’s Discipline of Strikes, the Top-tier Nightfall, through the Vanguard, you need a power level of 1,575. You will also be fighting in competitive mode. This means you will be fighting 25 power levels below the top-tier power level of 1,600, so you need to proceed tactically and work together as a team.
What’s happening in the raid “Glass Chamber”:
- In the Glass Chamber, there’s the Atheon challenge called “Ensemble Refrain”. Note that each teleported player may only shoot one oracle per round.
- As a reward, you will get the time-lost weapon “Corrective Measure” in the Challenge Mode . The weapon will guaranteed come with 2 perks per slot. However, always remember that Hard and Normal mode share the loot.
- The armor focusing in the raid “Glass Chamber” this week: Recovery
What’s happening in the raid “The Oath of the Student”:
- In the “Oath of the Student” raid, the challenge “Quick Destruction” begins. To complete it, players must defeat all unstoppable champions simultaneously or within a few seconds.
- If you play the raid on Grandmaster difficulty, you now also have the chance to receive a master version of the respective raid weapons for each completed encounter.

- You’ll head to the Pyramid on Europa, where Caiatl’s Cabal is already waiting for you. The light has made you forget, and now the Vanguard wants to use the darkness to uncover old memories.

This is the new max level: In the new Season of the Risen, the maximum power level of your gear is set at 1,560. This means the power level at the start of the DLC has increased by +230 power levels compared to the previous Season 15. However, all players will also be raised to a base power level of 1,350 at the start, and there are many sources to level up quickly.
Anyone who wants to reach 1,520 power level quickly just needs to complete the Legendary Campaign. You will also receive one of the new Witch Queen Exotics as a gift upon completion.
