In Destiny 2 today, December 4th, is the Weekly Reset. The first premium DLC “Black Armory” is live. Guardians can look forward to new activities and challenges. What are the Nightfall strikes and where is the Flashpoint?
The Black Armory opens its gates: The first of the three premium DLCs, the Black Armory, is now live. After a maintenance-related delay due to Update 2.1.1.1, all owners of the Annual Pass can now dive into the new content.

What Guardians can expect this week:
- With today’s Weekly Reset, the Forsaken expansion raises the maximum power level from 600 to 650
- Furthermore, the Curse of the Forsaken in the Dreaming City returns to its first cycle week
- On Friday, December 7th, the new raid “Scourge of the Past” will start at 6 PM (Annual Pass required)
Nightfall strikes from 04.12. on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
In the second week of Season 5, you can choose between the following three Nightfall strikes:
- Strange Terrain
- Exodus Crash
- The Hollowed Hideout
For the Nightfall strikes, you should bring a power level of 540, as recommended by the game. You can adjust modifiers on the challenge card according to your needs. Important: Your gear will be locked for the duration of the Nightfall.

Here’s how to get Powerful loot:
- Complete the Nightfall strike
- Finish the Nightfall strike with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
In the heroic story missions you can expect the following modifiers:
- Arc Burn
- Blackout: Enemy melee attacks are significantly stronger and the radar is disabled
- Grenadier: Grenade abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster
For the Strike playlists the same modifiers apply. The Burn modifier remains active until the next reset. The other two modifiers rotate daily.
Here’s how to get Powerful loot:
- Complete 3 heroic story missions
- Complete 3 heroic strikes with a focus of the same light elements as a fireteam member
Crucible Activities and Gambit
In the Crucible you can enjoy the following modes this week:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Rumble
- Showdown
- Private Match
Here’s how to get Powerful loot:
- Complete 5 Crucible matches
- Finish 3 Gambit matches
Escalation Protocol
In the boss fight of the Escalation Protocol, you can secure the following weapon this week if you’re lucky:
- the legendary shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Petra, Bounties
The Flashpoint can be found this week on Mars. There you will also find a heroic adventure that rewards you with Powerful gear.
With Ikora Rey you need to complete 20 bounties for a Powerful reward.
With Hawthorne you need to earn a total of 5,000 clan XP. For this, you will receive Powerful gear. Clans can obtain the weekly raid challenge “Endless Battle“. If you complete the challenge, a Powerful reward awaits.
The Vagabond offers the weekly bounty “In the Mill”. Here, too, you can snag a Powerful reward.
Petra Venj can be found at the pavilion in the area “The Shore”. There is a mission for which you can snag Powerful gear. Additionally, mastering the Ascendant challenge and completing 8 daily bounties both grant a Powerful reward. Furthermore, the 2nd Ascendant challenge is active.
With Spider you will receive the bounty “Grave Tide Summoner“, which also offers Powerful gear upon successful completion. Furthermore, all owners of the Annual Pass should now visit the Fallen. There you will receive the first quest step for the Black Armory.
The Loadout for the Prestige Raid sections consists of a kinetic hand cannon, a sniper rifle in the energy slot, and any power weapon. The modifier is Prism.
The Raid Challenge can be found this week in the Royal Baths.
In the Eververse you can find among other things:
- the class item for the new class sets
- the exotic ship ADA-1’s Lonely Wolf
- a weapon ornament for the scout rifle MIDA Multi-Tool
