Today, on February 4th, the Weekly Reset brings fresh weekly activities, new Nightfall Strikes, and a new Flashpoint to Guardians in Destiny 2. What else does the new week hold for the players?
What is happening right now in Destiny 2? Today, two new pieces of content are launching in Destiny 2. The “Empyrean Foundation” event is starting. This is one of the last pieces of content from Season 9. Here is everything we know about the new event:
Additionally, according to the roadmap, there will be a new boss in the Sundial activity today.
There is also currently a voice line that a data miner has discovered causing speculation. Are we expecting another big mystery in Season 9?

The following Nightfalls are available: For the regular Nightfall (Power level 820), you can choose from these strikes:
- Shattered Forest
- The Pyramidion
- The Treacherous Core

Strikes and story missions have these modifiers:
- Solar Singe
- Grounded
- Brute
Where the Singe modifier remains constant for the entire week. The other two modifiers change daily.
The Crucible: You can choose from these playlists and modes in PvP:

Escalation Protocol: In the boss fight in Escalation Protocol on Mars, you have a chance at this weapon:

Flashpoint: The current Flashpoint can be found on:
- Nessus
Petra Venj can be found (Curse Week 2) for one week directly at the landing zone of the Dreaming City. You can also take on the 3rd Ascendant Challenge.

This is how Powerful Loot is structured in Destiny 2: Powerful gear comes in various quality tiers. Higher-tier items grant you a corresponding power boost.
- Tier 1 (up to +3 above the current power level)
- Tier 2 (up to +4 above the current power level)
- Tier 3 (up to +5 above the current power level)
- Top Gear (+5 or more above the power level. The only gear that goes above 960 and up to a maximum of 970. From 960 up to +2 power)
For your information: Power levels gained through the seasonal artifact are not taken into account for calculating the power levels of your drops. Here, the average power level of gear and weapons is decisive.
