Destiny 2 is getting closer to the release of the latest DLC. The Dawning ended today and Guardians in the Destiny universe are once again turning to the final challenges in the “Trials of Eternity”. There are rumors that the seasonal quest may continue. Otherwise, you can expect the following challenges this week.
This week: The “Trials of Eternity” remain the only event in the game, as Eva’s Dawning 2021 is over and Bungie is clearing away the Christmas decorations. Now there is more time for interested players during the 30th anniversary to get the special rewards from the loot chests, such as Xur’s comet-like ship.
Many assumed that the anniversary event would disappear with the release of the new expansion “The Witch Queen” on February 22, 2022. This is not the case. Joe Blackburn, Game Director of Destiny 2, tweeted that this event will “not be going anywhere in the foreseeable future”.
Otherwise, players are completing many challenges in this long Season 15 that they have never gotten around to. However, it is rumored that we might finally see movement in the seasonal quest regarding Mara Sov and Savathun this week. A new Destiny 2 cutscene sparked discussions on Twitter in this regard. Will we see something new here this week?
Anyone looking to try out unusually effective builds should let their Titan be touched by “a worm” and test this combination on Destiny 2 bosses:
