On this Tuesday, October 15, the Weekly Reset takes place in Destiny 2. The weekly activities rotate and Guardians can look forward to new Nightfalls as well as a new Flashpoint. Additionally, the first Iron Banner of Year 3 starts and the new update 2.6.0.4 is ready. But what else is there to do?
What is happening today in Destiny 2? After a maintenance delay, the update 2.6.0.4 is live and a new week dawns in the Destiny universe. Guardians can now dive into the new content.

Additionally, the activity Nightmare Hunts will receive another new difficulty level. Note that the Nightmare Hunts are exclusively available to owners of Shadowkeep.
But what else is new for the Guardians to do this week? Let’s take a look at the new activities together.
The important information about the weekly activities
These Nightfalls are available this week: You can choose from the following strikes for the regular Nightfall (Power level 820):
- Foreign Terrain
- The Weapon Dealer
- The Scarlet Fortress
These difficulties are offered by Nightfall: The Test of Fire:
- Master (recommended power level 750, with matchmaking)
- Hero (recommended power level 920, with matchmaking)
- Legend (recommended power level 950)
- Grandmaster (recommended power level 980)
This week, by the way, “The Twisted Column” is the strike in rotation. You cannot select the Test of Fire strike yourself; you can only determine the difficulty level.
Strikes and Story Missions: The following modifiers are active in the Vanguard Strikes:
- Arc Singe
- Blackout
- Grenadier
The Singe modifier will remain active until the next reset. However, the other two modifiers change daily.
Crucible: These modes and playlists can be played in PvP:
- Private Match
- Rumble (Core Playlist)
- Domination (Rotation Playlist)
- Labs: Elimination (Core Playlist)
- Lockdown (Rotation Playlist)
- Survival (Core Playlist)
- Survival: Freelance (Core Playlist)
- Classic Mix (Core Playlist)
- Control (Core Playlist)
- Iron Banner (Rotation Playlist)
Accountability: These modifiers are active:

Escalation Protocol: These weapons can be obtained this week:

Flashpoint: The current flashpoint this week is located on IO.

These sources now provide Powerful Loot in Destiny 2
With the release of Shadowkeep, the sources for Powerful Loot have been redesigned. You can no longer receive the coveted rewards from all NPCs and activities.

These are the tiers for Powerful Gear: Powerful loot is now divided into several tiers, granting you various power boosts:
- Tier 1 (up to +3 above the current power level)
- Tier 2 (up to +4 above the current power level)
- Tier 3 (up to +5 above the current power level)
- Peak Equipment (+5 or more above the power level. The only equipment that goes above 950 and up to a maximum of 960)
- Additional tiers obtained through the seasonal artifact do not count towards the average power level and therefore the calculation of drops
