In Destiny 2 today, on September 12th, is the Weekly Reset. What is the new Nightfall strike, what is the new Flashpoint? These are the new weekly activities.
Today, on September 12th, the first weekly reset in Destiny 2 takes place. All Guardians who were already active in Destiny 1 will be familiar with this weekly ritual. The time and day do not change in Destiny 2, only other activities are reset.
The key information about the Weekly Reset in Destiny 2:
- The Weekly Reset takes place every Tuesday at 11 AM (Daylight Saving Time) or 10 AM (Standard Time).
- All activities that only drop weekly loot receive fresh rewards.
- Activities, such as the Nightfall strike or the Flashpoint, receive new tasks / requirements / modifiers
Which activities are reset weekly? These are the currently known contents:
- Nightfall Strike
- Call to Arms
- Flashpoint
- Clan XP milestone
- Weekly Challenge
- Weekly Clan Engrams
- Meditations (at Ikora Rey)
- Eververse content that can be purchased for Glimmer
- Treasure Maps from Cayde-6
- and likely more, such as the Raid later on
We will accompany this week’s first weekly reset live. That is, this article will be gradually filled with all information. It should be complete by around 11:10 AM, as long as the reset goes smoothly. (Update: At 11:02 AM Bungie.net is not updated yet). Update 11:11 AM: Article is now complete.
Nightfall Strike on September 12th on PS4 and Xbox One
This week in the strike “The Twisted Tower” as Nightfall. This is the strike that could already be played in the beta.
The modifiers are:
- Prism: Attacks matching the element deal increased damage. Other elemental damage is reduced. The element switches during the strike. – Actually, “Momentum” was supposed to be active as a modifier, but it causes issues. Therefore, Bungie is bringing back last week’s modifier.
- Time Loop: Rings – Vex time gates appear. Cross through them to extend the mission timer.
Challenges in the Nightfall strike:
- Complete the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining.
- Complete the Nightfall with less than 3 deaths.
- The fireteam must not be hit by Protheon’s flaming ground attack before defeating him.
Flashpoint, Call to Arms, and remaining weekly activities
The Flashpoint this week is on Nessus. Now you need to complete public events there.
Call to Arms remains; you should complete Crucible matches.
There is also no change for the Clan XP milestone.
Ikora Rey has the missions Burn, Flood, and Hope.
Cayde-6 has treasure maps for Nessus.
