The Lore Community of Destiny 2 has now come across a hidden message in the “Curse of Osiris” DLC for Destiny 2 after a hot tip. The previously unnoticed message contains a warning about Prince Uldren and his plans, which will unfold in the upcoming Forsaken expansion.
The Telesto warned the Guardians about Cayde’s murderer
Uldren in Forsaken: It has recently been officially confirmed – Cayde-6, the beloved Vanguard member from Destiny 2, will die in the storyline of Forsaken. The leader of the Hunter Vanguard will be executed by Prince Uldren.
Warning already in the Osiris DLC: What came as a surprise to many Guardians and caused a shocking moment has apparently been foreseeable for a long time – not the murder itself, but Uldren’s dark plans. Because a hidden warning about the Awakened Prince and his ambitions has existed in Destiny 2 since the “Curse of Osiris” DLC.
Fans have only now discovered the clues: But only now did the Destiny Ghost Stories Lore Discord Community stumble upon this hidden clue after a tip. After intense research and discussions, fans have now managed to reveal the content of the hidden message with a simple method.
Telesto lore provides insight into Uldren’s ambitions: The hint was hidden in the lore text of the exotic fusion rifle Telesto.

If you take the first letters of each word and string them together, you get the following text: CROW UNTRUSTWORTHY DESIRES POWER. In translation, it means: Crow untrustworthy desires power.
The crow refers to Uldren, as he is often referred to as the master of crows. The crows are small drones that Uldren uses for reconnaissance and surveillance.
Interesting: This warning is not only integrated into the English lore text of the Telesto. As users on Reddit report, this message can be found in numerous other Destiny 2 localizations – including the French, Japanese, and Italian versions. A coincidence can therefore be ruled out.
The special thing: The deciphered message is a complex coded message intricately woven into the lore, directed at Petra Venj. It is a clear warning to the Reef leadership (after the destruction of the Reef) that Uldren is becoming an increasing threat. How dangerous Uldren really is and how far he can go was recently made clear in the Forsaken story trailer.
However, this hint is comparatively easy to decipher when considering the complex puzzles that fans have already solved in Destiny 2. It is therefore quite surprising that the community did not stumble upon this earlier.
