Destiny 2 warns: If you change your character during the new campaign, it could cost you your progress

In Destiny 2, the final expansion of the Light and Darkness saga “The Final Shape” launches today, but what would a release be without severe bugs that cost you progress? We will show you what you need to pay attention to at launch.

What has Bungie announced? Before the release of “The Final Shape”, Bungie listed important information and known bugs on their site (via bungie.net) that you should be aware of before the launch.

One of the pieces of information particularly concerns the progress you can achieve with your Guardian upon the release of the DLC, as this may not be saved if you are playing in a fireteam with other Guardians.

There is no release at Bungie without bugs

How can I prevent the error? It is important, if you are approaching the story with a character, that you stay with that character. Additionally, you should not join any fireteam in between to help them with missions.

If you have found a fireteam, you should stick with them and go through the story with one character. Otherwise, your progress in the story might not be saved, and you may have to replay certain parts or possibly even everything.

This would be particularly devastating if you want to participate in the newest raid of “The Final Shape” promptly and want to obtain the necessary light level for Day One through the heroic quest.

What other important bugs are there? In fact, there are only minor issues that players might find annoying. These include:

• PC players who have 3D audio enabled cannot hear any sound
• The pop-up “Leaving for the final shape” has the wrong key art
• When prism hunters activate their new ultimate while grappling, they fall
• The hunter aspect that increases your blades of fire ultimates does not work
• The description of the arc staff ultimate for hunters does not mention a blind effect after a three-combo or slam attack
