In Destiny 2, the new armors from the upcoming Halloween event “Festival of the Lost” have been leaked. This time they have a real horror theme and look truly beautifully “terrifying”.
What is the leak about? Yesterday, on September 8th, Destiny 2 received the new Update 2.9.2. This fixed several annoying bugs. Additionally, the evacuation quest for the 3rd and final new weapon exotic of Season 11 – the hand cannon “Chosen of the Traveler” – finally started. Some new data also came into play, where data miners could discover some interesting things.
For instance, Ginsor, one of the most well-known and reliable data miners around Destiny 2, found among other things promo images of the new armor sets as well as some other items from the upcoming Halloween event Festival of the Lost. And they are certainly worth seeing.
These are the “Festival of the Lost” armors 2020: This time, Guardians are not getting armor sets with neon glowing colors that look like children’s costumes for trick-or-treating, but rather really cool-looking armors with a noticeable horror theme.
- The Warlock receives a set that transforms him into an elegantly graceful vampire
- The Hunter gets trimmed into a hairy werewolf
- And the Titan receives a scarred armor reminiscent of Frankenstein’s monster

In addition, there are some other cool items visible in the images – such as
- new emotes that can make your Guardian look chained or snowy
- a new paper mask in a mocking design
- a new ghost shell, also made of paper
- as well as an icy broom sparrow
Moreover, other data miners have already discovered a ship, sparrow, and a ghost shell in a mummy style.

How can one get these new items? This is currently not known. The ornaments from 2019 were available for both glimmer (in-game currency) and silver (real money currency) in the in-game shop Eververse.
It is also still unclear whether the new sets are actual armors or again universal ornaments, although the latter is probably the most likely option.
The 3 items in a mummy style could possibly be obtainable through gameplay, as they are assigned to the Festival of the Lost, but are currently not listed under either glimmer or silver purchases.
Why do the Guardians get spooked every year in Destiny 2?
What is the Festival of the Lost? This event has its roots in Destiny 1 and is held in honor of fallen Guardians. In principle, it is the Destiny version of Halloween.
The survivors gather in the Tower of the Last City to commemorate their loved ones, friends, and comrades who have fallen in battle. Here, Guardians are meant to reflect and remember what they stand for and fight for.
The Tower is adorned in festive decorations, and there are event-specific tasks, activities, as well as thematically inspired rewards. This year, the festival is set to take place in the ongoing (and extended) Season 11.
