On this Tuesday, Destiny 2 is receiving an update again. For players, this means a short break from gaming. MeinMMO will tell you when you can log in again.
What you need to know today: Like almost every Tuesday, there is a new update for Destiny today. This requires the servers to go offline, which means you won’t be able to play for some time.
However, MeinMMO will keep you updated. We will let you know how long the downtime will last. Additionally, we will update this article as soon as new information becomes available.
6:05 PM: The update is here. On PC, the file is 684.0 MB in size. Once you have downloaded it, you can log back into the game.
3:19 PM: The servers have just gone offline. You can find the further schedule of the update below in the article.
2:00 PM: Background maintenance has started. Therefore, there may already be minor issues in the form of error codes. Please keep this in mind if you are still in the game just before the server downtime.
Maintenance on 30.01 – All times for server downtime
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact outage times. It is planned that the servers will be inaccessible today for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
This is the maintenance schedule:
- At 2:00 PM, background maintenance will start on all platforms.
- At around 3:15 PM, the servers will go offline. Players will be automatically kicked from the game.
- During the downtime, Bungie will gradually roll out update 7.3.4 so that players across all platforms can download and install it.
- At 6:00 PM, the shooter is expected to be back online, and you can log in again.
- The maintenance will continue in the background until 8:00 PM.
Also consider that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may also be unavailable for a while, so you cannot use them.
What changes with update 7.3.4 in season 23
This will be fixed today: At the end of last year, Bungie began making some improvements to the language filtering in text chat. However, there are still issues. For example, players may see less or more language content than before. Bungie aims to reduce these effects in its updates.
For season 23, it was also announced that the seasonal challenge “A Fulfilled Wish” currently requires 66 weekly challenges. Bungie will also correct this today to the intended number of 63 required challenges.
Otherwise, here are the latest issues that players have reported to the developer in the help forum and which could also be addressed.
- The totems in the dungeon “Spire of the Warlord” sometimes do not spawn correctly.
- In the description of the perk for the exotic gauntlets “Winter’s Call”, the term “ensnared” appears instead of “frozen”.
- Reworked “Dreaming City” weapons do not count towards the Cursebreaker title.
- Guardians do not receive the correct triumphs after acquiring ritual ornaments for the sword “Gallant Fire”.
- Seasonal bonuses cannot partially be completed by guardians. Only 9 instead of 10 are displayed, even if you have completed everything.
- Player name changes cannot be adjusted indefinitely via bungie.net. Many players are still waiting for the return of the option to change their player name, instead of receiving the message “You have no name changes available”.
